naaa I'm hearing it isn't happening. We're coming in pretty late and the "You can come in and earn minutes" isn't always well receivedno Mintz?

I agree. With JB gone, there's a good likelihood JG will leave too which I want. I think he would excel elsewhere in a different role. This is why I want the coaching change to happen now. Why is JB coming back for this. There’s no way we can pencil in Benny to the starting lineup after what he’s shown this year. If Jesse is here, he’s going to get double teamed every time he touches the ball next year.

Not his problem, though. That’s the problem though
Local kid. Coach's son. Other factors. Our parts don't fit well together. If Buddy was on the 2013-14 team instead of Cooney nobody notices the defense.
People nitpick Buddy's offensive game more than anyone I can remember. Statistically his season is the same as Battle's in 2017-18 and he didn't ever receive the same criticism here.
Yikes. Not sure I want that to happen. Either way we are starving for talent.I agree. With JB gone, there's a good likelihood JG will leave too which I want. I think he would excel elsewhere in a different role.
Duke does it every year.Has there ever been a college basketball team that lost their leading scorer and was better the next season?
If this is the starting lineup all you have to do is guard Joe and the other four never have to leave the paint. They would be lucky to win ten games.Gun to head

another rough year
Probably because the team is 13-12 and our best player is out for the year.It seems to be the flavor of the day more and more here. Constant negativity
The 2002-03 Syracuse Orangemen.(Shumpert)Has there ever been a college basketball team that lost their leading scorer and was better the next season?
Depends on who “transfer” is. If he’s Wes Johnson, and Benny makes a sophomore leap, we’d be really good.If this is the starting lineup all you have to do is guard Joe and the other four never have to leave the paint. They would be lucky to win ten games.
I thought the sarcasm was clear here. I apologize, friends.Has there ever been a college basketball team that lost their leading scorer and was better the next season?
17-18 were 23-14 and defense is half the game, where Battle is miles better than Buddy. It’s not the same.
Shooters were needed to supplement the roster.Defense is 1/2 the game (except when everyone complained all we recruited were long kids for the zone and we needed to start recruiting shooters) but did you know Buddy averages more rebs and asts per game than Battle did?
I specifically called out offensive in my post. Now you’ve moved the goalposts.

This is not true - whether you agree with the coach or not - JB plays who he thinks will help the team win - so there is at least one reason why your scenario wasn't employed - JB didn't think it was better - he could've been wrong, but the head coach's opinion does count. There is ABSOLUTELY no reason why over 90% of Kadary’s minutes last year came in Girard’s position and Joe couldn’t get more of Buddy’s minutes.
You are cherry picking aggregate stats on two totally different teams, both in construct and performance.
It's not "fine" and I'm sure the powers that be all know this, just like everyone on this board knows this.Like all threads on here, a simple thread on percent to return turns into a referendum on Buddy and/or Jim thanks to the usual suspects.
Everything is fine. This is fine.
In my experience, doing the same thing usually gives different results. It's not "fine" and I'm sure the powers that be all know this, just like everyone on this board knows this.
What to do about it is a different issue.
I picked out the two stats besides defense that buddy has consistently been beaten up for.
define usual suspects? (i.e., Buddy bashers or defenders?)Like all threads on here, a simple thread on percent to return turns into a referendum on Buddy and/or Jim thanks to the usual suspects.
