Louisville Postgame Discussion Thread

Mikel's my favorite player on the team. Not only a fantastic player, but unparalleled leader.
Darkhorse for being the most important piece of this team. Dude should have an NIL deal with energizer. The energy and attitude that kid brings is wild. Just all go 120% percent of the time and dudes clearly feed off him. Keeps everyone up.

Anyone else thing Lville doesn't suck and we were just good?

I wanted to take them +7 against UCF next Friday but by the time I got to the casino it was down to 6.5 so I had to ML them at +200. I think they win. Plumlee from Ole Miss has wheels as good as Cunninghams though.

And now there is the threat with that same look the two, outside guys are going to be manned up
one thing if you watch the play design on the screen. the double deep route also pulls the safety and left the LB man up with no leverage on the slot.. Shrader could also have thrown the shallow out pass and it probably goes for 15-20 if not more.. Play design really matters when its called against the correct D.. options.

Eh, say do suck. It doesn't matter.

We needed to set the tone and start the season right for the home fans.

Mission accomplished.

First time on campus in over a decade. Took my 3 boys and showed them around my old stomping grounds. Wow has it grown!

The Dome is beautiful. I am amazed at the work that they did. Wifi, new roof and temperature control have completely changed the experience.

The students showed up and it was great to see. They were actually into the game. Way different from my time (P and Robinson) where I was one of the few bringing the noise.

Speaking of that. It was LOUD. My 7 year old was not happy about it. I bought ear plugs to help. My 10 year old and I contributed what we could for noise. No one above us so he was banging on the bench for any 3rd down and that defensive stand on goal in our end zone, where they went for it on 4th. He had so much fun and was going nuts when the D held on that 4th. He also called the Gadsden TD. As right when the ball was snapped he saw no one where he was running.

Overall a great experience and think I sold my older 2 on going to SU. Definitely going to try to bring them up for a game every year.

The people on here that deserve to be listened to about FB all seemed very confident that the changes in the coaching staff, O-line health, and the further maturation of the defense would lead to good things.
The concerns were: schedule, o-line health, d-line size and experience, and special teams, particularly punter, because they assumed the ST dedicated coach would clean up the rest.
They're optimism was borne out.
Thankfully the injury losses were at spots they could best be absorbed.

here is a very good breakdown of the Garret Williams interception on the post.
So we can expect UCon to try the “skinny” version?

Is that Schroeder guy related to Hakim Warwick from basketball?

ACCN really did give us the love when they got around to our game.

I kinda feel bad for Mark Richt though.

VT loses, BC loses, we win. Yay for America.
Watched the game in a hotel - my wife wouldn't catch any of the post game stuff at home - but five seconds into the postgame she was worried wondering what was up with him.

What dies 9.9 ANY/A mean?

It's a metric used to measure offensive efficiency. The formula used to calculate it is below.

ANY/A - adjusted net yards per passing attempt: (pass yards + 20*(pass TD) - 45*(interceptions thrown) - sack yards)/(passing attempts + sacks).

Since passing yards can be inflated by a team passing the ball frequently, it's used as a way to measure QB passing efficiency, along with touchdowns, turnovers and sacks.
