They just found this out. They were going to let him ride out the year until this came to light. Now they are going to torch him in this settlement.

If I were him, I would take the stance that there is ample evidence that he was the same POS when they hired him.

In lieu of having to be on the hook for $50M, I can understand why the LSU boosters are desperate to have this type of "out."

I read today that Kelly won’t take anything less than his full buyout. The AD is pretty much out of the negotiating process. The governor has taken over. The AD was also the same guy who gave Jimbo the huge buyout. $130 million for two of his hires to not coach.
