He's already better than McCullough. I think we get 2 yrs out of him.

He still needs to get stronger and work on his handle. He's s 3 in the NBA.

I know. We've been so burned. But everyone is predicting Lydon will struggle when we play bigger, better teams, so it's hard to know what to wish for.

I know! I wish that he will play fantastic for THREE years and then go to the NBA! Hey, why not? I've always felt I had the inside tract with the Infinite Spirit. You're welcome.

Neither of those things would affect his stock.

Yeah, I suppose he could work on those things for a few years in the D League.

Chandler Parsons, the guy Bilas compared him to today and Hopkins also compared him to previously, played 4 years of college ball.

Don't think he's quick enough to be a 3 in the league. Look at the other 3s in the league and tell me with a straight face he could even come close to guarding them or pull off any move on offense on those guys. If he wants to make the league he needs to play the 4.

we get 4 years. Senior year he makes 1st team AA and hes the #1 draft pick

Not only that, but he would guarantee that he ACTUALLY plays in the NBA and would make multi-milllions for more than 3 years. His shooting form is pure money!!

The only problem with the D League is he may not get playing time depending on the team he gets on. If you are just looking to cash out a 3-year contract like Tyler Ennis then its a good deal. If you want to actually make real money and actually play in the NBA I think staying an extra year in college might allow TL to have more playing time. It's a gamble. We see how well CMac does. Is TE even playing anymore?

Huh? CMac is on the Nets roster but is still rehabbing his knee. Ennis is on the Bucks and averages 5 pts 2 assts. He started a couple games when MCW was hurt. Ennis has been out a couple games himself.

On the other hand, the Warriors are doing quite well without guys playing in the traditional 1 thru 5 slots.

If he makes it to senior year. He's Frank Kaminsky.

There are so many components which comprise a college basketball player. Many underestimate or don't even consider some of them. How each of those traits, talents, basketball IQ, communication skills, leadership potential, and physical presence dovetail in with the program they are part of is far from an exact science. Lydon is one of those kids that seemingly has been blessed across the board in all areas and one does not have to watch him play much to see that he is the type of player that will be very impactful and a huge asset to the program.

Although MacCullough was the most highly rated player since Carmelo to commit to our program it is abundantly clear that for a variety of reasons he did not have a significant impact on our program. That is not meant to diminish him at all in any way and I wish him the best in the future and I mention him primarily as an example of how a player who is highly ranked might not, and often does not, have a significant impact on the program they move through.

Lydon seems to emanate an aura of humility and determination and just looks like they type of kid you'd like to see your daughter go to the prom with. So far this season, in spite of the limited amount of games in which he has been able to demonstrate his talents I would be willing to bet that he is going to be an extremely valuable asset to the program for whatever duration of time he is here. Players like Lydon provide stability to the team with their even tempered demeanor and team first play and provide an infectious enthusiasm and confidence among their teamates. Tylers willingness to play at the 5 for the benefit of the team illustrates where his priorities are... TEAM FIRST. Frankly, the program would benefit greatly with more players that possess the type of intangibles that Lydon has been so abundantly blessed with.

One thing often overlooked is that although great teams no doubt have players with a high level of talent, equally important is filling specific roles with players who with the other more subtle characteristics are able to comprise a team which achieves success on account of synthesis and becoming greater than the sum of it's individual parts.

Lydon has great hands, skills, basketball IQ, and athleticism. He also has "the knack." Kid just knows how to play. Some players have "it," some don't. Lydon has "it."

Now obviously, it would be better for us and him if he was 225 instead of 205, 210, or whatever he is now. But despite that current limitation, the kid is playing amazing ball. He has the potential to be one of the top bigs in program history--no exaggeration. He'll be here at least two years, maybe three, and I'm going to enjoy every minute.

Fantastic player.
