P. Thomas was suspended ...same as Marcus...after multiple issues...P.Thomas could redshirt and be back on the team in a year...Same as Marcus..

And Cater is a bad comparison to Marcus...Cater pled guilty and was sentenced to prison...The charges against Marcus were DROPPED

Not to mention Thomas failed a cocaine test...for the SECOND TIME. Quite a bit different being guilty of driving your brother's car, and your brother having an open container. I've heard the story from the horses mouth, and the story the cops were telling is quite a bit embellished...

An old leadership adage is that you don't have to treat everyone the same (in fact you shouldn't), as long as you treat everyone fairly. Whether or not people want to argue for or against Marrone on the second part is a different discussion.

Treating all kids the same would be a disastrous policy, since all kids are not the same. Some are contrite and ready to learn. Others are arrogant and beyond self-examination. If Doug wants to work with a repentant kid, more power to him.
