Constantly would be a bit much and could squander the time the NCAA alots them if players abused it. Having said that, there is plenty of time allowed to schedule adequate cool down and hydration breaks and certified strength and conditioning specialists and athletic trainers at any level, and certainly at the D1 level, should have a thorough understanding of what is appropriate and how to observe the signs of physical distress. From what has been reported, this guy wasn't borderline, he was in rough shape.Gotcha. Still...I don't understand why these kids can't constantly be able to drink water and get breaks.
This may also expedite the Dome into getting air conditioning, some opposing team comes in and it's 90 outside, that Dome is hell. This could be a lawsuit waiting to happen.
Most, if not all, of your head athletic trainers at this level are also licensed physical therapists. If that guy escapes some sort of prosecution, I would think he just put his licensure as a healthcare professional in jeopardy, at the least.
