Maryland Postgame Analysis

I genuinely struggling to hold the tension that it's likely Red will be coaching next year for sure? Absolutely disconcerting & deflating... whether it's finances, recruiting class or whatever else, the fact that we could be so bound by those factors so we can't make a coaching changes doesn't compute.
My uninformed opinion is that the AD and School don’t want to put in the hard work. Building and maintaining a program takes constant effort up and down the program because It’s insanely competitive out there. Syracuse has a lot of positives: name brand, tons of fans, history and prestige. But it’s not as easy as just rolling with what’s worked in the past.

You will be very challenged to do an Upside post after this debaucle.
Steve I know the old scout never did basketball but I wonder what he might have said about this disaster?

With last years team, you saw glimpses of extreme talent with Q, you saw all the fun little small things that Maliq would do during a game, Judah would make you pull your hair out then do something amazing. Of course there was a lot annoying. A lot.

With this years team, I don’t find the players have any watchable skills or anything to look forward to. Freeman or Moore maybe once in awhile. But this roster couldn’t be a bigger dud

The only good, which doesn't even matter because Maryland kinda packed it in anyway, but Donnie and Moore had 31 combined.

Everything else, and I mean everything else, was terrible.

School wants/needs to keep Red another year, good luck. Because this is a mess and our recruiting class ain't saving anything.

JJ coming back won't save us. He was here for our initial games and he isn't as good as they are making it out to be.

Chris Bell looks like he wants no part of playing basketball. JC is a joke at this level. Eddie has always been out of shape and injured.

Red looks like he's out of his depth. This team has no identity on either side.

As I said in the game thread, this is easily the worst Cuse team in my lifetime. And that's saying something.
I guess but as you hinted ... Moore and Donnie dined on ultimate garbage time.
The rest is spot on.
I just wonder what pushes Wildhack over the edge? Empty building? Winless ACC season? Multiple 30 point beat downs? Or sadly, and what I think the action will be, nothing.

Welcome to the Grob era of Syracuse basketball
Hah. My football season tickets actually didn't survive the GRob era and they never came back. I can't see myself spending a single dollar on a single game hoops ticket until the house is cleaned.

Oddly enough it's still probably going to be a net net for SU. I'm just giving all my allotted Cuse money to Fran and buying season football tickets next year so.

Red after the game: "We got our asses kicked. We just didn't show up. Sorry for my language but we got our asses kicked."

"We will roll the ball out their next game and try again. "We wont change anything we do or the way we go about anything we are just going to continue doing the same thing over and over again"

He should be sorry for the embarrassment of a team he's built.

Money matters. If revenue and donations fall well below target it will force his hand. He’ll need to pass the hat for a buyout and sell his soul for the next coaching hire, but that’s job of an AD at a major college program.

You had 2 players on last years team who could make plays. Judah, and Q.
If those 2 could have been team first and me second that would have been a good team.

Wait, those aren't real quotes, right?

Yeah, the women's team blew out Dartmouth. I think that was it. Men's team was on vacation.

Excellent progress. We hit a three pointer today!

Went from 0-7 from 3 last game, to 8-16 (50%) today.

If this progress trend continues, by February we will be hitting 39 threes at an 89% clip
