Can someone explain to me what Red was talking about in the presser re Jyare? It made zero sense

Remember last year when Cuse got a technical foul for subbing in a player who was not listed in the official scorebook? I think it was in Hawaii.I wasnt sure.
My guess: We tried to start six people because no serious person would consider Carlos a starter.
When the officials called us out on it we had to pull Choppa so Carlos could get his 40?
It's like when that doofus Mets manager submitted the wrong lineup card and the Mets batted out of order and were charged outs. He was incompetent and eventually fired.
Wut? How is this possible?
I watch a lot of college basketball and I can’t remember ever seeing someone at the scorers table that earlyHappens more often than you think.
If the official scorer writes it down incorrectly in the book, that's the lineup you have to start with.
Choppa was already waiting at the scorers table to check in right after tip off. Like that would have made a difference today.
Clown. Show.
34 years of watching SU hoops and I’ve never seen that happen once.Happens more often than you think.

if JB had had decent assistants maybe the program wouldnt have fallen far enough to force him out like it did...?The worst defensive team I’ve ever seen. At any level. Today, it started with so many instances of Lampkin doing the exact same thing I’ve ben ranting about all season. He hedges/double teams somebody else’s man, leaving his man a free and open lane. Luckily, MD missed or fumbled away easy rim opportunities on multiple occasions, but still got dunks or layups on others. And then when the pass didn’t go to the paint, he ends up covering a guard on the perimeter and either not being able to stay with him or leaving a 3pt shooter wide open when he tries to scramble back to cover the center.
It‘s just sickening—and frankly mind boggling that the staff continues to let this happen. If they haven’t identified this glaring, basic problem, they’re either not watching or they moronically think there is some benefit to every failed switch.
This is incompetence. And if there were an assistant on the bench I had confidence in as an interim measure, i‘d fire Red tonight. I have never suggested that in the past, but this game was a watershed moment—an absolute embarrassment and a vivid illustration that we do nothing at even basic levels of competence.
The turnovers, good lord. When the announcers can pinpoint in the first five minutes the reason for all of them… that’s bad. The feeble rebounding—when one guy rebounds his own misses three times, and another guy comes in from out of bounds between two of our guys…. When Petar gets two shots rejected when he is an inch from the rim….
Davis looked like a rookie in his first game and if that game was against a classic Tark UNLV team…. Rattled. By Maryland. Bell looked like he was afraid to shoot. Carlos wanted to give up the ball as soon as possible. Shook. By Maryland.
We just aren’t prepared. Another major issue is the lack of communication (I’m assuming). I can’t hear the chatter, but it’s clear our guys don’t know who is responsible for who on defense. And they too often don’t even know when a shot has gone up. We had Moore drifting deep into the lane when when his man was out at the 3 line. Wide open jumper with Moore running out at him, too late. Multiple occasions of our guys running out past 3pt shooters, when there was no reason for them not to have been glued to them from the beginning. Looked like zone, in panic/scamble mode, but it’s inexcusable in m2m.
Jeezus. I’m done. I’ve watched us and been ‘disappointed’ in our poor showings. Now I’m pissed. Actually angry. I feel bad for Red, but worse for us. And I’m pissed at JB…. Yeah. He had Red as his Assistant Head Coach for how many years? An incompetent lieutenant paired with a lazy head coach. Our decline was ensured years ago. How did JB not recognize Red couldn’t coach? When JB was (allegedly) ‘just watching’ the first half of practices from the catwalk, what the hell wa he looking at?
OK, 1 time in 34 years
BMK started instead of Grant.
Grant subbed in at the 19:06 mark.
Syracuse basketball defeats Boston College 69-59: Brent Axe rapid recap (updated)

» In what was deemed an "administrative error," Baye Moussa Keita started the game for Syracuse even though Jim Boeheim intended to start Jerami Grant. First time I've heard of that one.

I missed the game live (thankfully), but checked the ESPN gamecast afterward, and there isn't a single highlight of any Syracuse plays - they are all Maryland offensive or defensive plays. That should tell you something.I was at a restaurant and the game was on a tv. Every time I would casually look up to watch it, it felt like we were turning the ball over, dribbling into nowhere dangerous, and/or clanking a shot. Collectively I watched about 3 minutes of game time through my 5 second glances and I think it was a fairly accurate representation of the team's performance.
