Matthew Bergeron declares for NFL Draft

For sure. There seems to be a group of OT's that are universally regarded as being Day 1 picks. Bergeron could certainly sneak into the first round [and lots of mocks have that happening].

But if not, he could be a top end second round option -- especially for teams that pass on offensive line in the first round, but are looking to fill that gap near the top of the second round.

Wouldn't be remotely surprised to see Bergeron sneak into the first round. Kid is an athletic freak -- not an ounce of fat on him at 310 pounds, great feet, tons of starting experience, etc.

I keep seeing the same 4 guys in front of him and then he in a group of 4 regarded as next best group. But like you said, teams will like a guy for a particular reason and there’s no reason to think that couldn’t happen with him. But even if he isn’t one of those top 4, he could still sneak in to end of 1st round I think if 1-2 OT go fast. It’ll cause a panic to grab the others in those 1st two highly regarded groups.

It’s going to be fun to watch.

Miami rumors they may be willing to trade into the end of 1st round from 52. They like the RB out of Bama. I would rather see them snag Berg and help keep Tua upright. I think he goes R1. I think GW is R2. I think Tuck sneaks into R5 (someone rolls the dice) and I think Mikel goes R7.

I feel that Berg is going to have a better and longer career then several of the OL taken before him. He is a four year player that missed very few games. Some of the guys selected did not show the same.
Also, some of the picks in the first round were head scratchers. Confirms why some teams will constantly be mediocre.

Which of the 4 guys taken before him did you think were not as good of players?

Some of the picks were interesting, like Detroit. Otherwise thought the 1st round was pretty straightforward and went according to best players available and needs of team. Who did you think made a bad pick in the 1st?

I don’t think he’ll last that far either but you just never know. I think once you get out of the 1st round it really becomes the Wild West with evaluations between different teams, philosophies, etc. 1st round picks, other than some outlier choices here and there, are all pretty predictable.

I’m not sure he’ll go in the first 5 picks today though. If I was betting I think it’ll be a little past that with a slight chance he could still be there by the 15th for NE.

It's all about the position runs in R2 tonight. If any oline is selected first, if it is not Berg, then I would expect him probably shortly thereafter. There seems to be a handful of highly rated TEs still out there, so we could see an early R2 run of those guys as well.

On paper; the Texans did pretty well with Stroud and Anderson. Agree on picking rb in the 1st Round. Man, Gibbs really helped himself going to Alabama for a year. But, what do I know; I thought Browning Nagle would be a better pro qb, than Brett Favre, so...

Broadus agreed in one of his comments separately.. Broadus covered Dallas explicitly for about 4 years prior. A friend sent it to me and noted it this morning as he listens to all the Cowboys radio shows.

It was apparently brought up on radio show as well was my point. Doesn't really matter nothing happened was just sharing. No need to worry Dallas won't be drafting him now and ruining everyone's day lol.

I’m not worried at all. Just that there’s a 1,000 of these people on twitter that talk like they were in the draft room. No big deal. Hope Berg goes early tonight. I don’t see him going past the Jets.
