I’m not worried at all. Just that there’s a 1,000 of these people on twitter that talk like they were in the draft room. No big deal. Hope Berg goes early tonight. I don’t see him going past the Jets.

Agreed. The sooner the better. Knew it was probably unlikely but had hoped he snuck into the first round. Seeing the Jags and Bengals late had some hope.

I feel like, being the top OT on the board all day while teams are meeting, there will be at least one team that says, let's go up for him. I dunno

This has nothing to do with Bergeron at all but I don’t think all the teams have him as the next top OT. There’s also some C and OG’s that are highly rated that could be picked instead b/c of team needs. I know Kiper has Bergeron as the next best OT but it’s also Kiper.

A lot of what I’ve read on different sites is many teams have Bergeron in with a group of 3-4 other OL that were the next step down from what was considered the clear top 4 OL that were all drafted. So my guess is every team has different reasons for thinking Bergeron and others in that group are better than what’s left.

Either way, he’s getting drafted in the 2nd and he’s going to have a long career

I think it's a fair wager in a couple years he ends up being better than a few of those drafted ahead of him too

I think he will out perform the OL from OK and Tenn.
Concerning other players i personally think taking any running back in the first round is a bad pick in the current nfl especially in the top 15.
Maybe it’s just me but Bryce Young at number 1 is a pick that the Panthers will regret. Especially considering they traded up. Also not a fan of the colts pick considering the qb does not seem ready to plug and play which it appears they need.
I did feel that some teams made good picks for their needs. Others maybe picked the best player on the board but not the best player for their current needs.
A teams first round pick really needs to be an immediate impact player.

I’m a Bears fan, I love Bergeron and have said I wish(ed) the Bears had traded down and taken him. But he’s not better than Darnell Wright. Wright had zero blown blocks in 388 run plays, zero sacks and only allowed 8 pressures last year. In the SEC. I think he also ran the 40 at the 2nd fastest time for OL.

Possibly. Who knows. The OL drafted ahead of him were all very very good FB players. Hard to argue that any of them shouldn’t have been picked over Bergeron. Also, had Bergeron been selected, hard to argue he shouldn’t have. It’s a very good group of OL this year.

A guy who I work with who follows the NYG like we do SUFB is adamant that the Giants are big on Tucker. I’m not sure where he got that from other than them being one of four teams at his pro day, and Breida maybe being replaced or something. But wow would that be awesome.

I'm an Eagles fan, so no, no it wouldn't be.

Ha, fair enough. I grew up a NYG fan so I know what you mean; seeing Sean go to a NFC East rival would be hard but I’d still follow him.

Steve Muench (Scouts Inc) on ESPN+ has him going as #43 to the Jets.

I hope my Jets take him. Would fit nicely
My son thinks the Jets is his destination. He follows pro football closely and said he thought Bergeron was the type of player, Belichick really likes too and they pick #46 after the #43 Jets.
