You're both wrong, he will stay the same.Same way you know he will excel and go higher.

Said “equally likely”. How can you guarantee he’ll duplicate his performance with all the toughest games on the road? Why is that "likely?"
Not that Miami was a stalwart defense, but he performed well against the highest rated program we played.
There's no guarantee of anything. However, if he DOES duplicate this year's success (while making closing to $3 million at Syracuse), he will 100% be a 1st round draft pick next year. He may go 5th round this year, and if he does he will not make as much in the NFL as he would in college. If he has a mediocre year next year, he's still a 5th rounder to UDFA and has the same opportunity, but at least he made that $2.5 to $3 million in college.Said “equally likely”. Aw man, don't be that guy.Which is around 200K post-tax and agent fees.
Aw man, don't be that guy.
You have absolutely no idea how next year's teams will be. And you used a word that makes an ass out of you and me. You can never assume anything about next year's teams.I think you proved my point more than yours. Throw out those non P5 teams. Then the rest of those defenses really aren’t scaring anyone. I assume next year we’ll face 4-5 top 25 and a few top 10 defenses.
Let him cook on being the "yeahbutthetaxes!" guy?
This seems like the most likely assumption relative to Kyle's thought process. I would add that if he is getting middle round projections now, he could also be thinking/betting that his performances at East-West Shrine Bowl together with how well he does during the combine and interview process (slam dunk here, I think) will push him further up some boards.Kyle is a kid who will bet on himself. Except I don’t know what that means here: betting that he can make it in the NFL now as a projected middle round pick or betting that he can improve his draft stock after another year at SU..
One of the best teams this year was picked to finish last in the Big 12. Other than Notre Dame, Clemson and probably Tennessee, we don't really know how good anyone will be next year. But I think ND is going to be a top 3 team and Clemson will have it's best team since 2020. They'll feel like Clemson again. You have absolutely no idea how next year's teams will be. YES! Think of the responses. Throw in the agents...we might even circle back to the "valueofeducationshouldbegoodenough" guyLet him cook on being the "yeahbutthetaxes!" guy?
Oh man, he’s gonna get ALL the chicks.Let him cook on being the "yeahbutthetaxes!" guy?
Add his signing bonus to the 1.2 and that is still less than he will make in NIL...If Kyle went in the fourth round, his signing bonus which would be about $500,000 is guaranteed.
THIS 100%There's no guarantee of anything. However, if he DOES duplicate this year's success (while making closing to $3 million at Syracuse), he will 100% be a 1st round draft pick next year. Yes, we know, but it is not zero guaranteed as you said.Add his signing bonus to the 1.2 and that is still less than he will make in NIL...
I meant the contract wasn't guaranteed. Which its NOT! If you think the signing bonus is going to sway his decision your kidding yourself. That doesn't even make sense to bring up.Yes, we know, but it is not zero guaranteed as you said.
He won't start and he'll make less money, so he should stay.He should go because his stock wont be any higher than it is right now.
I love Kyle, and I agree with most of your post. However, I do not see Kyle moving into Round 1 no matter what he does. There's no guarantee of anything. This is exactly what you said “That contract is work approx. $4.8M spread out over 4 years (AGAIN NO GUARANTEE).”I meant the contract wasn't guaranteed. Which its NOT! If you think the signing bonus is going to sway his decision you’re kidding yourself. That doesn't even make sense to bring up.
Returning will give him a chance to prove those perceptions wrong, which will elevate him to Rd 2 or 1. He didn’t run often, but that was because he was looking to pass til the last moment - and most of the times someone would get open. And he was effective when he did run - the spike against GT comes to mind. As for elusiveness, he wasn’t fast, but was slippery in the pocket. Recall quite a few tightropes before releasing the pass. With proper dedication to strength and conditioning… umm, footwork … he certainly can improve the Little League Kyle to a bigger league level.I love Kyle, and I agree with most of your post. However, I do not see Kyle moving into Round 1 no matter what he does.
His lack of scrambling ability and perceived lack of escapability will preclude Round 1 draft status.
I think his upside is Round 2, and that is a real shame because I think his accuracy and ability to get rid of the ball quickly are as good as anybody else's at the collegiate level. He is also the best I have ever seen at the college level in executing the back shoulder pass.
Scouts have their check lists and to get into Round 1 as a QB all the boxes need checking and Kyle is missing one or two of those boxes and one year will not change that.
Excels at back shoulder passes. That pass works well at the next level .I love Kyle, and I agree with most of your post. However, I do not see Kyle moving into Round 1 no matter what he does.
