I love the optimism. I think Salter was asking for a bit more money than our guys were willing to commit to. For a 1 year guy who’s not a proven commodity vs power 4 (think Oregon, Fiesta). He’s as stud, for sure, but doesn’t fit our pro style O, and apparently must not have fit in with HCFB’s philosophy… either that or Kyle got approved this morning, one or the other

They still aren't. The University doesn't want money going to the NIL. They want it going to them.

Not really sure I can agree with that. John has done numerous interviews and attended events where he has promoted NIL. While we might be small potatoes he’s been nothing but supportive of our SyraCRUZ nil efforts. I don’t believe any of the big donors have been dissuaded from donating to NIL. If they had been, the projections for next years NIL wouldn’t be what it is. Above John, I don’t expect any one of them to hawk NIL. Other schools are probably the same.

My understanding is that the staff was never that enamored with Salter.

Sometimes it doesn't matter if there's no shot at winning the lawsuit, sometimes the fear of the negative publicity is enough to impact actions to avoid the lawsuit anyway.
