Jimmy has really shortened the bench the last two games. I think MCW has earned some run. He may still be our 4th guard, but he definitely doesn't hurt us when he is out there & he is better than bad Scoop or bad Brandon.

Same with James, he has improved nicely & the days of his only chucking treys wo hitting glass or playing D are behind him. Maybe, if he got a couple of minutes during the Marquette run & he hits a three or two the game never gets close.

I think these two deserve at least a few minutes even against better foes.

I agree in principle with this. As has been mentioned on this board, I think the reason MCW didn't get any run vs Marquette was because of how physical their guards are. He would've been eaten alive. He'll get some run vs. Villanova.

You know there is gonna be that 2nd round NCAA tourny game where Brandon is off and sulking and Scoop is throwing balls into the stands. We are going to need MCW. The more time we give him, the better.

Not sure about that one way or the other in terms of his getting eaten alive...regardless he has got to get his feet wet against those types of matchups.

JB is doing a great job playing guys...he just doesn't trust Rak, MCW and James like he does the others. I don't either. I don't question how great MCW will be put he's got 3 super players in front of him. Rak, too, will be great but not this year. James is James- sort of an enigma...he really has stepped up his all around game so he's good even if not scoring...still CJ is the guy I go with in a close game no question.

In general JB is doing a great job, but I did not think he did so great in the second half of the Marquette game. To me, Rak is very raw & really has not earned PT against better squads. Now, in terms, of JB's trust, I agree with your comment, but to me that applies more at the end of games. I still do not understand why MCW & James did not get a whiff of the court in the second half against marquette when we had a double digit lead, but our core group had lost momentum. Now James is a bit of a wildcard in terms of what he brings, but I think MCW has actually been about our steadiest guard, though so far hasn't displayed "hot" streaks to take over games for stretches in the way that the other three have. When the team is on a minus run, no reason MCW can't get in there for just a couple of minutes to maybe settle things down w his D & his high A to TO ratio.

Depends on who we are playing. A team that presses a lot? No. Will he play against Louisville? I doubt it. JB knows his players.
