Posted this same thread. I knew he wouldnt turn on us but he could easily have waited until next year or until this has blown over to be visible. This guy has a brand and image. Now I dont think our scandal is anywhereeee near PSU, but it is still a black eye and for him to show up right in the middle of the swirling storm meant alot. He was courside, visible, cheering and did an interview. If anything could help us with recruits and the Syracuse brand in the midst of this, it was seeing the game and subsequent highlights from last night with a talented team playing in front of a huge crowd with Melo's smiling face repeatedly shown on camera. Thank you Melo!

I am definitely glad he was there. But I must say most of the time I looked over at him, he was slumped and looking down, like he was in a coma. When Derrick is in the house, he looks like he's going to have a seizure! I suppose Melo is too cool for that. But thank you, Melo! Meant a lot you were there.

Was it me, or did JB sprint towards Melo before the game was over to say something? I was watching on TV and couldn't believe in the middle of a play he would basically run of the court as Melo was leaving the floor. Obviously, the game was close to ending, but it's not like we were up by 20!

And Rob Murphy staying for a bunch of days in the middle of his season is weird. Wonder if he was questioned by authorities which is why he had to stick around?

Nah, EMU was playing Colgate as part of the trip, so Rob came back up from Hamilton for the game.
