  1. The offense functions exponentially better when we have a true lead guard [Kadary] out on the floor
  2. The defense is markedly better with Kadary in the game
  3. Girard is much better suited to playing off the ball, and his effectiveness will ratchet up when he does

I have to agree. We just have to hope JB sees this. I think it’s painfully obvious a change is needed at PG.

You, me (along with 90% of people here) knew this before today. I can't for the life of me figure out why this is just now happening. I'm certainly happy to see it. But find it very frustrating we had to wait until game 12 to actually see it happen.

When you have a serviceable 7 footer it's a game changer on top of a real PG. It changes the entire look and makes the game easier for others.

Let me add that Jesse isn't a statue either. He defends with his feet first vs just walling up.

Strange that he moved to the 2 for a good chunk of the game and looked way better than any other game of late. Very strange.

He looked as good against Georgetown. Idk what the “of late” cutoff is, but worth noting. Georgetown and Miami are roughly equal in suckiness.

I really liked the way Jesse was competing for rebounds. Would be such a game changer if he can give us 6 and 6 and a decent presence on defense. And yes I’m daring to dream after 1 decent game. We need something to cling to here.

Score was 11-2 when Kadary came in. Thoughts?

Joe can light it up when he takes good shots. And sometimes when he gets hot, he can even make some bad shots.

He’s way better at the 2. He’s a microwave type guy.

Kadary played well. Joe shot well. Kadary has played well before and Joe has shot well before. Miami is bad and can’t shoot.

Griffin getting some more time on the bench after doing dumb stuff is nice to see. Buddy playing SF isn’t what I had in mind when I suggested Griffin should sit a little more often, but it worked today.

Jimmy has really screwed up with his stubbornness. Bras Edwards Kadary all should have been playing significant minutes from game one. As we all know Joe is a 2 and Marek is a 3-4. Kadary had 8 or 9 assists. 3 for Dunks. I believe 2 for 3s. The D with Edwards Marek Q Kadary is solid. We are huge and dont get out muscled. How the heck JB didn't see this is crazy.

*the ‘Georgetown sucks as much as Miami’ comment was hyperbole, btw. Realized that might ruffle feathers.

It’s okay to just say Kadary should be playing the majority of the minutes at PG and that JG is a SG who can be the backup PG.

We are all fans and just want the team to win.

KR should be the starting PG.

I think a difference in when Kadary plays well vs. when he “doesn’t do much”(I’ll word it that way because I can’t remember him killing us the way some others have when they’re not playing well), is when he’s running the show as the PG vs. playing off the ball as a wing.

Just my observation. He’s way more effective and engaged when he’s the primary ball handler. He’s kinda pointless on offense if he’s playing off the ball. His strengths are his ability to penetrate and dish, distribute the ball, and occasionally penetrate and score. He was noticeably looking for QG in the post. That’s PG stuff. He’s not a wing. Let Joe go hunt for looks off the ball. He’s a decent passer, but looking shot first is kinda what he naturally does.

I mentioned it in his other cameos that even if he doesn't get the rebound he is making it easier for others to snag it.

Watch when he went out. We still got boards but notice how Miami had their hands on it first and then a Cuse player grabbed it. When Jesse is in there it's very common he is the first guy to get a hand on it even if he doesn't snag them all. This is something that kills us with Marek as I would bet that there is a high success rate of the first team to get a hand on a miss coming down with it. We far too often are rebounding tipped balls off of a missed offensive board and thus losing that battle too often. With Jesse... much different.
