Miami postgame

Annoucers kept saying it was a legal motion. On what planet can you jump the start and be moving forward at the snap.a player flinches and it's a false start but you can start running toward the LOS to block before the snap now?
I think the goal line play technically he was moving sideways at the sna on slow mo, but that will typically be called 9 out of 10 times.

It seemed like one or twice a series the Miami WRs were jumping just before the snap.

I still can’t get over the PI to holding call after they found out the ball was tipped.

The Goal line plays. Said he was miving sideways but in atleast one of them he was definently moving forward. He initially started sideways then went forward right before ball was snapped.

That holding was stupid. You can't call holding after the pass. And he was not holding before. It is either PI or nothing. But with ball being tipped that negates the PI. Not sure how they got away with that

Miami coaches had to tell stripes pre game about the motion.

Oh hell, I'm greedy. If Willis doesn't fumble, we blow these pus$$$es out tonight.
One way to look at it is that Grant's scoop and score came on the ensuing possession, which wouldn't have happened if Willis didn't fumble. So in my mind, Willis was exonerated. And assuming we would have scored on the drive where Willis turned it over, it didn't affect the final score.

Probably only the TV watchers saw this but after Willis’ fumble Fran absolutely lit up one of the assistant coaches. I think it was the RB coach. It was the first time even I was cringing a little over the outburst. The assistant coach definitely had an you look on his face and walked away. A short time later they showed Fran apologize to him. Anyone else catch that?

Yes. Saw it from my section. I suspect it had to do with what is Willis doing in game vs quint

He clearly was getting confused with Canadian Football.

On no Murican Football planet can a player be moving forward before the snap.

Which the RB clearly was.

It was 144% a false start / illegal motion -
take your pick.

Meanwhile…. That totally BS formation call that took away Peña’s TD on the opening drive.
Yeesh.
Shades of the Tenn uniform penalties
from back in the day.

How do you know that? Once we were done (fumble, TD, FG, whatever), Miami gets the ball. The same turnover could have happened then.

Yes they showed the hug later but the coach did have an "if I don't walk away we are throwing" look.

So the stadium did a really good job yesterday showing replays on the big board. Tough to get mad at Willis on that play. He was running really hard and it's not like he only had one hand on the ball. He clearly had two but three Miami guys were on him, with one of the three using both hands to pull the ball out. A tough play.

Willis is a talent. I hope that’s not why he was cussing at him. Fran needs to work on controlling his emotions with his staff.
I bet it was. fran said it as much in presser. Quint is toughest guy on team. He wants ball in his hands.

Exactly. Not all fumbles are the same. Willis had the ball wrapped up. And he’s a guy you need to play. LQA is a stud but you absolutely need another back with speed and shiftiness to complement him.

Wow… when we fired barbers I said we need our own Deion sanders ( at the time I assumed he couldn’t coach but he could get the best talent… I think he can coach now) I think we got the more stable version that will be here longer than next year

I can’t imagine Fran is easy to work for. You have to completely buy into him and his approach. Probably more difficult for adults to do.
He definitely gives a vibe that he can be really mad at you, but he's actually not mad at you personally, and if you get mad at him he can still be totally cool with you.

That kind of thing can definitely be unusual for a person to work with if they're not familiar with a person that can operate that way but I feel like Fran probably communicates that pretty early in his relationships.
