Miami postgame

Sorry if I missed this and it was posted. Yesterday, McCord beats a top ten rival, locks up leading passer, gets us to nine wins, OSU loses in humiliating fashion to Michigan, McCord makes the comment about them at the presser and then mimes Lud Foe in the locker room???

This man’s level of revenge is John Wick-ian.

I don't understand anything.

After re-watching the game today, I have a couple of additional observations/comments on the 4th Qtr.:

1. I hope Sparrow is OK. Looked like he injured his knee, which is never good. Even though he saw his role diminished this year, it would be a crappy way to end his season.

B. I wonder if HCFB was tempted to go for a 2 pt. conversion after the "Running into the Kicker" penalty on our final score would have moved the ball to the 1.5 yd line? On one hand, a successful conversion would have given us an 8 pt lead, but if not, a 6 pt lead leaves the door open for a 1 point loss.

III. Speaking of which, the NCAA has to come up with a better option that moving the ball up to the 50 on the ensuing kick-off? It's hardly penalizing the defense when the KO is usually going to be a touchback anyways.

They should penalize 15 yards after the return.

Or half the distance from the 25.

Unless the other team runs the kick back for a TD, then penalize them 15 yards on THEIR next kickoff.

Agreed on Sparrow, hope he's alright. Late season I juries are really crappy (same with Hatcher last week).

And agreed, it's an inadequate penalty.

It’s actually a good time to onside kick, don’t know why more teams don’t try it.

Quinn Ewers playing himself into being the starting QB at Cuse next year...Couple of turnovers...Pick 6...If Texas loses to AM, he'd be run out of Austin...Figure he was gone anyways to NFL, but you never know
Give us all the OSU castoff QBs!

All good. The song is a pretty harsh song about retribution (to put it politely). It actually came out in like 2018. The lyrics from that video are below (insert not condoning the literal interpretation of the song yada yada… but as the kids say, this song goes hard AF). Guessing this wasn’t a random choice to be played.

There's also a video of him singing it after the NC State game, and in both it sounds like the whole team is singing it. Obviously there's an extra level to it for Kyle given what happened with Ohio State, but I think the whole team feels disrespected and has all year.

I mean, #24 in the coaches? Give me a break. Seeing that poll makes me want another game on the schedule against a top 15 team and let these kids loose on them.

Sparrow came back in on specials.

I appreciate your translation but I still don't understand ha

What a night to born my first child. Or else I would have been there! I definitely gotta catch the replay. But it will be a night that I will never forget for a multiple of reasons.
For the record, PACuse and PACusewife are the first known Orange fans to accomplish this feat.* However, if you younger SU fans and your respective partners wish to continue the PACuse/PACusewife legacy, I for one am all for it.

* SU defeated #2 Clemson in the Dome, PACusebaby was born the same day.

It obviously is water under the bridge now, but did anyone else think that Miami got away with at least a few false starts/illegal shifts? There was one on one of their rushing TDs that was very suspect.
Every goal line run there was a false start. The tight end began motion and then was going forward prior to the snap. I was losing my mind watching it not being called.

How do you know that? Once we were done (fumble, TD, FG, whatever), Miami gets the ball. The same turnover could have happened then.

Sparrow came back in on specials.
I'm shocked to hear this. After the injury time-out, he was helped off the field being supported under each arm by a member of the SU training staff. He was clearly in pain, favoring is (right?) knee. Usually with seemingly serious joint injuries, players are held out until diagnostic imaging can be performed, in order to avoid further injury. Being so late in the game, I wouldn't have expected to see him back on the field.

I think the goal line play technically he was moving sideways at the sna on slow mo, but that will typically be called 9 out of 10 times.

It seemed like one or twice a series the Miami WRs were jumping just before the snap.

I still can’t get over the PI to holding call after they found out the ball was tipped.
It seems to be a new thing that teams are doing. Should be an illegal shift not a false start. Stanford did it as well. Others are nationally too. Refs seem scared to call it as it is so closely timed with the snap.
