Michigan State/Louisville ... in-game thread....

The refs are calling this one A LOT MORE FAVORABLE toward Michigan State when it comes to contact near the rim.

My god.

No he's got 4. Game changed when he got his 3rd and Pitino took him out.

It'd be nice if he was actually fouling someone when he gets called for these things.

Sounds like the crowd is all MSU...which subconsciously sways the calls.

Don't you know they're scrappy.

UL is usually scrappy - the one year they have no bench and don't play that scrappy super-annoying foul-fest game. lol

How Rozier gets body checked and no foul and Blackshear blocks Trice and gets called for a foul is just amazing. NCAA referees are so just laughably inconsistent and ruin college hoops.

Yup - hip check on UL on one end, ignore it on the other. They just wing it in the college game.

If MSU moves on, only one team will have "played" their way into the Final 4 and that's Wisconsin.

UK and MSU (if they win) would have played worse or equal to their opponent but got the favorable whistle.

As much as I hate UK they earned it. When you go the final 9 minutes without missing shot you have earned it. I hate how UK gets all the breaks, but that was a game they earned as ND stalled and lost.

It's my opinion that the media leads to some of the bias by the officials... The ACC is not as beloved as it once was, now it's moved toward the B1G, SEC and littleBig... Even though the basketball conference is stronger in the ACC and the league is maybe top heavy, every night any team can upset anyone... and the media doesn't like most of the teams with exception to Coach K's Krazies... but the officials have influenced without a doubt, the majority of the outcomes in most of these games

They got a call right - sadly that helps Mich State too. :(

I thought ND got some bad calls against them in the first half - thought the second half was okay.

I did think that travel by Darkai Johnson was a game-changer though. 4th on August, 3 point play - and he traveled FIVE times. August can be more aggressive with three fouls, basket shouldn't have counted, etc...and that's why the officials shouldn't suck.

That being said - that loss in on ND (and Grant). They had it if they hit some free throws and didn't go mental at the end.

Agreed however those shots were all point blank Towns vs Auguste. An Auguste with 4 fouls.

Oooooh, UL may have got away with one...someone clipped Valentine of that rebound. :)

Valentine was trying to go Grant on UL - but passed it in the end.
