Many schools are releasing their invites and expected guests for mid-night madness. Now I understand 'Cuse's Mid-night madness does not get a 10--but several of our recruits are going elsewhere...why? Here is the Kansas list of supposed attendees thanks to ESPN ( so again, how important is it for recruits to attend a mid-night madness event????)

KU's visitors for midnight madness

Visitors from the class of 2013
According to Gary Bedore of KUSports.com, Kansas is expected to have quite a group of visitors for its highly anticipated Late Night in the Phog event on Oct. 12.
We have provided that list for you in the box above.
As you can see, the Jayhawks are looking to complement the two ESPN 100 guard commits in their 2013 class with some frontcourt help, even after signing three power forwards (Perry Ellis, Landen Lucas and Zach Peters) in last year's class.
While landing Selden would be a huge commit, we'd argue that a pledge from Gordon, Roberson or Shepherd would address a bigger need for the Jayhawks' projected 2013-14 roster that won't include 7-foot center Jeff Withey.

SU hoops Midnight Madness will be hosted by Jazmine Jordan and Scoop Jardine, will feature rapper Wale, according to the university.

this made me laugh

An appearance by MJ maybe????

I'd like to see them get someone kid cudi or Lupe fiasco, for a rap performance. I'm not much into rap anymore, but those two aren't bad. I went country...

Lupe fiasco would be awesome, aren't Jadakiss and Nas SU fans?

Jada is, no clue on nas.

I heard these guys were escorting JB and the team by plane this year. Wonder how they are going to pull that one off in the dome.

...isnt it amazing that once again we have a blackout on who comes to our mid-night madness...one would think it is a big deal but obviously from 'Cuse standpoint it is not.

Wale isn't bad, not as good as Meek Mill IMO.
Wale's a big sports fan, though. He's been on FirstTake a few times and shot a music video at ESPN's headquarters and the song has an awesome shot at Hasheem Thabeet.
(Explicit language in the song)

Maybe he can put something about Cuse in a few of his songs.

Im pumped, I think Wale is the stuff! I wonder if Jerami Grant had anything to do with Wale coming up? both DC area guys. Meek Mill came up largely in part of the Philly boys connect. Either way, I think it will be good. Me thinks Ennis (obviously), Briscoe, McCoullough maybe, and Whitehead will be here. Really wishing Wiggins would come, and Selden...wishful thinking

What are the odds that Mr. Excitement gets Wale's name right in introductions? I'd bet a mortgage payment he pronounces it 'whale'.

That's how I was reading it. How is it pronounced?

If we get Ennis, Briscoe, McCullough, Whitehead and can somehow get Wiggins to the Dome that would be unbelievable.

So who is now known to be attending? Ennis, McCullough...and??

Jordan has said he'll be there. Also some possibilities are James Young, Whitehead, maybe Briscoe comes along with Ennis, maybe Obokoh and Bryant make the hour drive down the thruway. Either way having Ennis there to help pitch the program to McCullough andvJordan is good enough in its own right. Hopefully regardless of who's there us fans do our part and create a great atmosphere again like last year to help sell the program to the recruits who do come.
