To supplement the list above. There are ways to get your local channels with O.T.T. providers

Another way is to hook up an antenna and grab them the old fashioned way.

I'm ride or die with YouTubeTV.
Me too. There are certain things in the small print that don’t work for my family in the other streamers. Most notably: YouTubeTV major networks are your local channels, they are live not on demand, AND YOU CAN DVR THEM. Some will not allow that.

I've been with YoutubeTV for awhile. The latest additions are horrible. Not interested in any of the new channels. I expect to switch in a few weeks.
Have you decided what you are switching to?

So I realized that we can highlight all of your post and do a Ctrl- to search. Very helpful.

I don't see YES or MASN on any of them.

I also couldn't live without NFL Redzone at this point. So Fubo isn't completely off the table for me someday.

But it also seems like these deals with channels are like people in Oz. They come and go so quickly. I don't want to find myself in streaming roulette.

So for those of you that have or were thinking about purchasing YoutubeTV, they just said they are raising their price 15 dollars a month. Long term streaming will be just as expensive as cable.

YES was on YouTube, but was removed a earlier this year.

If you live in the area, hulu has yes.

RedZone was removed from my Spectrum package and placed in a different tier a few weeks ago but I now get HBO, HBOMax and Showtime in my package in exchange. Going to see if I can survive without RedZone but I'm not sure I can.

If I lived in the market of my favorite NFL team, I could probably live without RedZone. But since I don't, I can't.

That channel is mesmerizing. No commercials, keeps you up with everything.

Scott Hanson does such a great job, in what must be a crazy role. It's either keep up with 10 things at once, or stretch out the conversation during down time. I credit his work to the wonderful university he attended.

Same with me especially now that the Bills are actually worth watching.

I'm really disappointed. I thought Google was going to be a true disrupter, not just build the same old cable platform, just delivered over the internet. Their recent announcement of a $15 increase juxtaposed against the addition of a couple of garbage Viacom channels sounds like a play from the big cable playbook.

Can't wait for them to send me my new set top box.

Have you decided what you are switching to?
Not yet... thinking Hulu
I might keep YoutubeTV
I don't watch pro sports anymore. College is important to me. If the season gets cancelled I might go in another direction for the Fall (Philo?). I hope to make a decision in 7-10 days.

Edit: totally agree with Pfister, YoutubeTV's move was garbage...just a $15 price increase.

Chip this might help. Are you just interested in the Nationals? This article is over a year ago so as always do your homework. I have a VPN and it is helpful. However, sometimes I have to disable to load a video or tweet.

My uncle has Youtube and had convinced my dad and I to seriously look into it. But I don't think I will anymore. I sometimes watch The Office reruns on Comedy Central and King of Queens on TV Land but none of those channels are ones I couldn't live without.

absolute garbage channels they're adding. we don't want them. hate being held hostage over price with garbage content. i'm so pissed about this price hike i'm probably going to try and cut the cord completely. I don't watch tv anymore it's the other people in the house. errr.

I just moved to Connecticut not too long ago. I'm paying for internet, and helping my family partially pay for cable and using the Spectrum app (don't get every channel but allows me to watch cable TV to a degree if I want). When sports roll around, my plan is to use reddit streams.

Cord cutting is so fascinating to me. Before, you needed cable to watch sports. Now, literally anybody can watch sports by only paying for internet.

They all came in low to pull customers..
In the end the streaming sites will be for way less channels than traditional cable was providing for the same cost and cable will mostly be dead except for people who like ease of use and like to change channels or buffer shows.

cable/sat still provide a way better user experience if you watch alot of tv.

right now streaming is like people who want a burger

go to MacD and get the cheap burger or go to the local Pub and pay more but in the end its a better meal.

I’m not into the Nats but it can be nice to have the local team on in the background.

The O’s are actually a bit bigger of an issue. Living out of market for the Yankees but in market for the O’s (for some stupid reason), I have to watch the Yankees on MASN. And it seems like they play each other about 100 times per year. The only bonus is listening to Gary Thorne’s calls of Gleyber Torres home runs.

85% increase since they released their service. This time the increase was for what? MTV, VH1 and Paramount? No thanks.
I'm with you, I grabbed YouTubeTV first day it hit the cuse market. Have really loved the service and have had very few complaints. The last price hike was all I could justify.

I'm not going to Hulu, refuse to give Disney any additional money. No FIOS in my area and my ego won't let me go back to Spectrum for cable.

All the sudden the IPTV movement has lost many of the great reasons why people switched in the first place.

completely agree. This increase is woefully inadequate for what additional content being received. I honestly didn't realize VH1 was still alive. Sadly, still cheaper than cable/sat. I'm taking down my no longer used DirecTV dish this summer.
