I cut the cord with Spectrum today after 40+ years. I was paying $243 a month for internet and cable. Now I'm going to save about $100 per month with YTTV and T-Mobile internet, and I still get everything I was getting before including Netflix, Paramount and Apple, except for YES and MSG, and I still need to figure MAX out. And I have a separate subscription for Prime so I figure the Yankees will be on there once a week and probably ESPN and/or FOX. And possibly other networks as well.
I probably sound like an idiot for doing so, but I pay Verizon about that much ($246) for 1 GB fiber to the home Internet (not a shared line to the neighborhood cluster, like Spectrum and traditional cable does).
My Internet powers 3 big screen TVs and about 5 computers running simultaneously playing media without any hiccups. I have all the channels, plus HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, etc.
And I have the Disney Bundle, Paramount, Peacock, Amazon, Netflix (the one we watch most, honestly). The only one we don't have is Apple TV, which we used to have, but there really wasn't much on it except for Ted Lasso. I don't watch MLS.
It would obviously seem like I'm paying too much, plus $270 on our phones - I also have a 2nd line, but find myself not using it - and two Apple Watches, which I still haven't figured out how to use yet. LOL.
But if I want to see something, I can find it somewhere almost always.
