Monmouth up 12 on the hated Hoyas

well Monmouth has beaten ucla and notre dame already, but still...

Have the Monmouth bench guys flipped out yet?

As bad as our losses look when they happened, they are even worse now. All 3 might end up in the "Bad loss" category on our resume..sheesh

We're not going to the tourney without 20-21 wins and a few big upsets.

That means 10-8 or 11-7 in the ACC. Not going to be easy.

Monmouth gonna get an at large lol.
They would be the first NEC team to do it. Seeing as that league's champ is usually play in game material, they still would be better off not testing the committee

Edit: never mind I see they upgraded to the MAAC, at large is much more doable from there

Favored by 10, about to lose by double digits. Sound familiar? College hoops

Half the people that were rooting for GTown at our game a couple of weeks ago won't know about this until they read about it in The Washington Post tomorrow.

Georgetown fans you know, read?

They probably have an incredible computer resume as all their wins are on the road or neutral. Rutgers is on deck.

Georgetown, Wisconsin, St. John's - none are going to the NCAA Tournament without some serious improvement in conference/winning their conference tournament.

Watching the Wisky game (only because I needed the +13.5) for Texas AM-CC... the Islanders coach may be the dumbest in the nation.

His two leading scorers go down when it is a single digit game with 4 fouls and about 13 minutes in the game... the lead goes up to 17... it goes down to 10, with a little more than 6 minutes to go.

Does he ever bother bringing back 2 of his best players? Nope.

ALSO OF NOTE - In his post game sideline interview, Bo Ryan complained that the cupcake they just beat by 15 was getting away with a lot of hand checking out there. Unreal.

ucla AND usc

So let's recap--they beat UCLA after a 3000 mile cross country trip , USC, Notre Dame, and now Georgetown on the road, and on a side note, the UCLA win keeps getting better and better as UCLA has since beaten #1 Kentucky by double-digits, and a good Gonzaga team on the road this past weekend that was top-10 at the time of the Atlantis tourney. So at what point do people start realizing the possibility that Monmouth may in fact be the real deal? (obviously not exactly a "one-hit" wonder in terms of an upset). They now have twice as many "good wins" as we do (4-2).

They also lost to Canisius. #233 in the RPI.

They clearly are good - but I have a feeling they're going to still need to win their conference tournament to make the NCAA Tournament.
