More officiating incompetence

Honestly, as a fan, if I were in the front row, I probably would have run onto the court to get the refs attention provided my verbal abuse went unnoticed (of course being booted from the arena) and point out their idiocy. I don't think the home team would have received a technical foul as a result of the "fan" running on the court unless a warning had been previously issued.

Either way, I imagine that I would have lost my if this had happended at a Syracuse game.

The end of the ULa-La @ WKU is a complete disgrace.

Add to that WKU fired the head coach this morning.

We've seen Roger Ayers, who was one of the officials who worked that game, a few times in SU games this season. He worked a game every day from Dec. 27 through last night, which is 10 straight days.

Roger Ayers

Ayers is listed as the third official in the "Most Games Called" category here
Tomcat & I witnessed his ineptness up close & personnel as we were in the Jack Nicholson seats for the SU-Seton Hall game. We looked at each other more than once with question marks on our faces after some of his What calls.

Brad Gaston

"Wood said the three game officials -- Brad Gaston, Roger Ayers and Reinaldo Acosta -- are veteran officials. Wood said Ayers officiates in the Sun Belt, ACC, SEC and Big East. Gaston officiates in the Sun Belt and C-USA, while Acosta officiates in the Sun Belt and Atlantic Sun.

"This wasn't a bunch of rookies," Wood said. "This is a good crew."

Genius play by the Rajun' Cajuns.

If the Coaches didn't notice or complain then I really have no issue with the refs not calling it either. there were 3-4 coaches and 15 players on the other team who should have spotted the issue and gotten a T called long before the play ever happened.

it happens in hockey all the time and no-one notices.. We had a play at Cornell where 8 men were skating on the ice involved in the play once and it never got called and was never noticed by the other team..

count the players on the field in the Auburn-SU game from 87.. you would think 13 would have triggered a penalty but it didnt and SU didnt notice either..
