My Way-Too-Early 2022 Schedule Prediction

This seems like a much tougher schedule

Definite losses - Clemson, Pitt, Wake, ND
Lean towards loss - NC State, Florida St, Purdue, Louisville
Lean towards win - BC, Virginia
Definite win - UConn, Wagner

Unless we improve, it could be a 3 or 4 win season. Even if we improve, 5 or 6 seems most realistic. That is winning every game where we are even/better than the opponent

I would be ecstatic if we get to 7 or 8 wins. That would be a big leap forward
Why is Wake a def loss? We took them to OT. Loss to Clemson on a last min field goal miss and the same with FSU.

I think it's normally folly to try to guess these things, but throw in the portal and coach changes (carousel is still spinning) and it's insane to even try.

I hope O'Connell for Purdue goes pro. His November numbers were insane. I hope he takes WR David Bell with him. Looks like their backup QB just hit the portal.

If the back up hit the portal it may be because O’Connell is returning.

Did we hire an OC yet. Predicting wins beyond Wagner and UConn seems RutgersAl(ish) if a 5 win team has yet to hire 50% of its staff. How could anyone say we’ll beat Purdue with no offensive staff in place.
yes i was hired with annexation of puerto rico play every quarter mixed in with run up the middle and streaks

Revised:

Definite losses - Clemson
Lean towards loss - NC State, Florida St, Purdue, Louisville, Wake, ND, BC, UVA
Lean towards win - Pitt
Definite win - UConn, Wagner

Brutal schedule for a coach trying to keep his job. If we get to 6 wins, Dino should get an extension.

Wow, I see 2-10 to be honest
Lemme guess: we beat Notre Dame and Clemson?

Wake Forest is such a crap shoot...I think we beat them. They had like 16 Super Seniors. Hartmann might be back for his 12th season too...or he might leave early for the draft.

Wake loses Roberson most likely. Perry might go as well as he will be in his 4th yr

Does Zack tom come back? Does Sciba come back, does Maginn come back, does Jurgins come back? all kids who have been there 4-5 yrs

I don't know what ya'll are looking at, but I'm struggling to find an L on the whole schedule!!!!! 12-0 baby!!!!
Let's wait until we find out who the OC, and QB coach is before we speculate on wins and losses.

Other than a couple of slip-ups with faulty thumbs and auto-correct, it was relatively easy to say it.

We need to get Purdue early...... Bell is definitely gone but Purdue will still be one of the 4 hardest opponents we face next year.

Pending a remarkable haul from the portal, and a few remarkable hires for OC and assistants, I can’t see us doing better than 4 or 5 wins. Specific to those first 4 games, we should beat UCONN and Wagner, but that’s it.

I hate to say it but once the sked comes out there will be predictions on this board when the 7th loss will come eliminating us from a bowl. Will DB get fired on the Sunday or Monday after the 7th loss?

If some of the old QBs decide to graduate, the path to 6 wins becomes a lot less rocky

From what I was told, you can't make comments about Hartman being around for 12 years, you have to do a google search and realize he's only been there 10.

I would say as of now which certainly can change:

Like H Ws - Wagner

Likely A Ws - UConn

Likely H Ls - None

Likely A Ls - Clemson

Likely H toss ups - Purdue, FSU, Louisville, NC State, UVA

Likely A toss ups - BC, Pitt, Wake

TBD - Notre Dame (too much to guess right now)

You need to go 3-2 at home against those 5 home toss ups. Adding in Wagner, UConn, and Clemson you are now 5-3. You need to go 1-2 against those 3 road toss ups. Which brings you to 6-5 with ND as TBD. it is a difficult schedule but a decent HC will get us to 6-6. I have no faith that Dino can get us there.

Also if we start off with Louisville it could set the tone for the season. Dino's history against them has been pretty bad. You don't want to start off a must win season with a 38-17 loss at HOME.

I’m going to go the other way - every game’s winnable. 10 games are losable. Pretty sure we’re gonna hit all the winnables.

10-2.

trying to be as realistic as possible, this is just a brutal schedule, I would say 4 wins Wagner, Uconn, Florida State, and Boston College.

Malik Cunningham is coming back to Louisville.
