On the flip side, I think it would be fun to see some of these past great defensive players/teams get to defend with today's rules.
A Rodman/Scottie/Jordan/Harper/Kukoc line up that could play the trapping, switch everything roaming off the ball defense as opposed to the more strict man-to-man rules could have been really dangerous and a lot of fun.
Oh hell yeah, that would've been great.
I think in some ways those Bulls were the first modern great team. the comparison doesn't work exactly; not like they were reliant on the 3 or anything, but for most of basketball history, it was all about having the great big guy, and obviously they didn't have that. the first title team in 91 also would throw on some crazy pressure defense with the Jordan/Pippen/Grant trio; no one really had the speed to keep up with that.
