Any more news on the Cuse guys out there in free agency?

Nurkic was good for them too. He;s young and on a fair contract. Is he maybe not expected to be healthy?

Was a pretty gross broken leg in late March so imagine they will take it real slow with him.

Interested to see where Lydon goes... seems a bit arrogant that he and his agent say he's above summer league. He played in about 1/4 of their games last year and put up nothing.

I know Durant and Jordan are tight, not sure where Kyrie fits in.

But here's a scenario now; Jordan is getting a lot of money, Brooklyn already has a good young center, Jarrett Allen. So I can't wait for some close games next year where Jordan plays a few too minutes over Allen, they lose, Kyrie gets pissed because KD's buddy is playing too m any minutes while KD isn;t even on the court...

Ok I need to go to bed or something
I posted this previously — KD and Kyrie have been friends for a long while. They've wanted to play together for a long while. This has been in the works for a long time, and it's admirable that both of them stuck to their commitments to each other despite KD's injury. I have a friend who has socialized with the Warriors: Iguodala, Draymond, KD... plus Kyrie who he knows from the AAU circuit, and even two years ago, the writing was on the wall. Nothing to do with the Warriors' treatment of KD's injury. Nothing to do with the 'spat' between Draymond and KD. Those items may have contributed to the final decision, but KD and Kyrie had an objective well before, and this is just the manifestation of that. All that remained to be determined was *where* it was going to happen. I have to believe the Knicks were the first choice, but Dolan had to be Dolan... And honestly, maybe Dolan was actually being smart this time, as KD's injury may restrict him and render him not worth that max money. We will just have to see.

I'm getting a bad feeling Kawhi is going to the Lakers. Beverly signing elsewhere isn't a good sign. Kawhi wanting to speak to Magic and Jeannie, when we previously thought he had no interest in playing with Lebron, not a good sign.

I think it's the best decision for Leonard, though. He has nothing to prove, having won two championships, so the criticisms of Durant are invalid. He'd be going to a winning situation immediately. He might expect Lebron to be there for only part of the 4-5 years and/or to recede in role prominence and so it would eventually be Leonard's team. And it's LA. The Clippers are going to be the red-headed stepchild for a long time to come, no matter what dysfunction there is in the Lakers' camp, and even if the Clippers were to actually win it all. They're second-class citizens in the league and in Los Angeles.

Are you suggesting the warriors' doctors told Iguodala it was only a bruise? There's a difference between telling the patient a lie versus just telling the media/injury reports a lie. That's not a misdiagnosis.
Iguadola was pissed at the Warriors for how his injury was reported.
He felt what was told publicly put pressure on him to return quicker than he was ready for.

I get that. But, that's not what we were talking about, was it?
I'm only commenting on the "misdiagnosis" bit. Which seems to be tied into the Durant achilles conversation.

Yeah I think he felt like the Warriors training staff just put pressure on him.
Not sure if he feels if he was misdiagnosed.

If you believe Zack Lowe Durant was going to the Knicks 100% until he got hurt.
Getting hurt is why he isn’t Knick. That is just crazy.

I'm still holding out hope that he's waiting so it screws with the Lakers and reduces their ability to contend.

You realize the Celtics medical staff did something similar with Thomas right?

Yeah agree with you here, but it won’t be Lebrons title and that’s what should be hammered home am I right?

I get that and the Celtics had public blowback for that from Anthony Davis’ dad.

I now expect the same treatment for the Warriors.

Beverley re-signing with the Clippers has nothing to do with the Lakers. Once Butler went to the Heat, there were no other potential max players out there for the Clips, so they were in a position to bring back Beverley with or without Leonard. He’s no different than all of the other free agent role players the Lakers have missed out on.

As for the meetings, they could mean the rumors about playing with LBJ were overstated or they could be about appeasing Uncle Dennis.

Or maybe I’m getting a head start on the five stages of grief.

Bulls did a sign (3 for $30) and trade with the Wizards for Tomas Satoransky. Gave up a 2020 second round pick and ability to swap picks.

Another key vet signing tonadd to the young core. He can start at the point until Coby White is ready or come off the bench. Either way he is a versatile playmaker at 6'7 and could also play the 2 or 3. He can shoot it and defend.

Thad Young. Another solid vet signing that does a little bit of everything. Probably could start but I'd guess he'll be coming off the bench for Carter or Markkanen.

Not big signings but important ones for this core.

Now to trade Dunn for assets...

Am I crazy or is this easy money in the East.

Brooklyn barely made the playoffs and has essentially replaced Russell with Irving (for 2020).

I don't think anything is easy money with Irving around. (-670 is a high price to pay).

I am looking at the +475 as good long shot value.

GarPax did well for the Bulls thus far.
I don’t get why Chicago isn’t a bigger factor in FA when they have cap space.
With the market being huge and a ton of players from there.

Agreed.
I think a big reason is Reinsdorf and GarPax.
Another reason MJ should bring the Hornets to Chicago. It could handle 2 franchises like LA and NY.

Lakers just signed Troy Daniels. Wouldn’t this affect their cap space?

They can sign as many guys as they want for the veteran minimum which is what he got. League year doesn't begin until the 6th as well so they'll be able to process everything in the order that most benefits them.
