Russell gives them enough scoring to get into the playoffs.
By dealing the two contracts they took from the Nets to the Wolves they were able to keep their MLE for Looney.

Iguadola it’s sad he was dealt because his loss is huge.

I think the Warriors could deal Russell next offseason and recoup some draft capital.

Green has to get paid now and I bet the Warriors will try and put some weight clauses like the NFL in his contract.

I get that it's easy for me to say sitting here that maybe they should've taken a step back next year, but I dunno. I can see them flipping Russell next year. I don't feel super strong about it, but I'm not sure they made the right play here

Originally drafted #10 in '14 by Sixers but traded to Magic for Saric on draft night. Played for 3+ years in Orlando before being traded to Suns around the deadline. Signed with the Pelicans this past year. Probably best known for his hair (but cut it this past year I think).

KD had his own doctor(s) on the case. They all 'concurred.' No one's fault.
My early theory was that whatever treatment/exercises he was doing to rehab from the calf may have contributed to stress on the achilles. So, maybe 'related,' but not really directly caused by misdiagnosis or malpractice or an error in decisionmaking. Just a confluence of factors. But, hey, if you praise God for your blessings, maybe you ask him why He didn't want you to finish the series.

Real odd to me too. Maybe doesn't want to uproot his family and loves the area/team/role more than money. Would be pretty unusual though if someone really put 10m a year on the table.
