NBA 2018-2019

This was a response to saying that the Celtics aren't in fact worse when he's on the floor. They undoubtedly are. Again, there's nothing out there to suggest that he's even an average player.

I’m sure other teams are near or at their worst when their 2nd string point guards are in too. Difference is the Celtics still win those games or most of them.

I guess the celtics were at their worst all the way up until the end of the Eastern conference finals then.

Rookie year: -10.2 points per 100 possessions
Sophomore: -4.1 points per 100
Third Year: -2.7 points per 100
This Year: -9.5 points per 100

And literally none of his other numbers suggest he's even an average player at this point.

Having said that, just to reiterate, I still think the Celtics can potentially top the Lakers' best offer. I just personally wouldn't be interested in Rozier or Smart unless Rozier ends up signing at a far cheaper cost than most predict.
Rozier outplayed Eric Bledsoe in the playoffs last year and that matchup difference was why Boston was able to win the series.
Bledsoe is the link that hurts the Bucks in the playoffs.

Celtics-Nuggets are talking now.
Celtics would want Harris and Porter Jr. if they dealt Kyrie.

Yeah, it's a 7 game sample size or whatever it was last year. Flukes happen.

Can't imagine a move like that is possible because Denver isn't paying for a rental in a year where it maybe gets them to the WCF at best and don't see why Kyrie would give any kind of guarantee he'd resign in Denver because he has no reason to.

NY Knicks
Atlanta
Chicago
Cleveland
Orlando
Phoenix
Detroit
LA Clippers
Indiana- he is better than Tyreke Evans
Memphis- he would be the second best guard on team.

He wouldn't be starting at the point for NYK, ATL, CLE, MEM, LAC. All have either better players or higher upside young guys. Also don't see how he's better than Tyreke, on the same their though. So basically he could start for the teams trying to lose this year plus the dumpster fires in ORL and DET.

I think you're probably right, but I'd personally probably take the swing in this case and hope for the best. But I'm also not a fan of Porter in the first place and think Harris is good but not great. Definitely a gamble though and I'm guessing Denver might balk at it considering how well their team has played this year. If this were happening last season I think they might have been more willing to do it.

Why would teams trying to lose start him? When he starts he wins. He plays much better in a starter role than back up. Im not going to hold the dysfunction of 2018/2019 against him when he showed his worth when in mattered it the playoffs.

So we'll ignore the entirety of his career where he's been mediocre and go with the hot month of bball last spring instead. Alright.

Or the part where he actually started. Not to mentioned its been just a 4 year career behind the climax of IT’s career and recently Kyrie.

If it was the offseason and you had a full year to integrate him and sell him on the city and franchise then I'd be with ya. Giving up 2 young & potentially above average NBA starters to most likely raise your ceiling from rd 2 to conf finals is a brutally high price to pay and gamble with.

I think folks that are fans of teams struggle to gain national perspective of what their teams players actual value are. If Terry Rozier is your teams starting PG than your team has a deficiency at the position and will be in the market for an upgrade everyday until he is replaced.

national perspective was pretty high while watching his post season performances. Now its petered out as Kyrie’s back, and with him a bunch of numbing pointless drama.

I think Lakers and other NBA fans forget defense is a thing too.

I don’t. Because Lonzo is very good defensively. I’ll take him over Rozier any day.

Kuzma-Brown is close. Kuzma is a better scorer, Brown a better defender.

The precious quotes from Davis are so typical of today’s athletes. “Time to move on “ “need to worry about my legacy” “I didn’t demand a trade “

So how do you move on without getting traded ? Release ? Yeah .. ok

How bout make your own legacy unstead of relying on others ? In my and Stugotz personal record books, KD still has no title

Its not possible to do in the NBA as currently constructed. You just flat out can not win a championship without having 3 all star caliber players including at least 1 if not 2 all nba caliber.

joining a pile on team doesn’t do anything for your legacy as far as I’m concerned. you’re telling me Westbrook and Durant up 3-2 with a 4th quarter lead at home had no chance of beating GSW? There’s also a difference between being on a team that has all stars vs forcing a trade to a team that already has them. nobody thought GSW was going to have all stars in Thompson and green yet they developed into them. People even had their doubts about curry

I don’t think Anthony Davis and LeBron are enough for the Lakers and if they have to deal 3 young players to get Davis they lose trade bait to get more talent.
If the NBA wants to stop these super teams they either need a franchise tag like the NFL and make the number an insane amount per year like 40-50 million each year and stop with max contracts. They should be max amount of years on deals but no max on the amount of money per year.
If a team wants to pay 4 years 160 million and another team wants to pay 4 years 120 million let the player decide.

The problem with the NBA is the agents have all the power.

Good luck playing with Lebron If that’s what you want to do AD, but remember when you lose to Golden State it will be your fault.

Don't really see much different between what Durant did and how Lebron has won each of his. No one is winning anything on their own. Either figure out how to link up with other elite players or be irrelevant come spring.

Not sure the league or the union really want to stop it.

People are forgetting James Dolan is still the Knicks owner.
That Charles Oakley stuff matters.

It does. But the players have never had as much power as they do now. LeBron ignores owners of his teams. I’m sure KD and Kyrie feel they can as well.
