Kyrie’s the smartest athlete in professional sports.
Don't really see much different between what Durant did and how Lebron has won each of his. No one is winning anything on their own. Either figure out how to link up with other elite players or be irrelevant come spring.
Nobody cares but me here, but Gobert not making the All-star game is a traveshamockery.
Especially when KAT gets in. A guy that doesn't win.
I don’t think Anthony Davis and LeBron are enough for the Lakers and if they have to deal 3 young players to get Davis they lose trade bait to get more talent.
If the NBA wants to stop these super teams they either need a franchise tag like the NFL and make the number an insane amount per year like 40-50 million each year and stop with max contracts. They should be max amount of years on deals but no max on the amount of money per year.
If a team wants to pay 4 years 160 million and another team wants to pay 4 years 120 million let the player decide.
The problem with the NBA is the agents have all the power.
If the Knicks could offer 4 years 200Isn't this pretty close to what happened with Davis? He's going to sign for a lot less $ with the Lakers or whoever. Granted the one year difference makes it seem more. But multiple guys have turned down the super max now.
If the Knicks could offer 4 years 200
Million because they have 72 million in cap space and Lakers offered 4 years 140 million maybe he goes East.
By restricting what the max is then the control is where you want to play as money and total money offered doesn’t matter.
Money is the way to prevent this more.I get what youre saying but I don't think it would work out like that in practice. If the Knicks offered Davis all their cap space he wouldn't go there because the rest of the team would suck. Also even if he would take it, i can't imagine many teams want all that money tied up in one player
Guys want to control where they go and who they play with. I don't really see a way to change that.
Money is the way to prevent this more.
The elite talent in basketball are underpaid.
By putting a max it allows for players like Joe Johnson in 2010 become the highest paid player in the league.
Players would take the money.
A hard cap would help. Now the cap would have to be an amount that isn’t cheap as owners shouldn’t get off easy but if there is a hard cap then the elite players would go for money or they would be leaving a lot more on the table than they have too with these artificial max dollars.
KD and Kyrie to NYK. AD to the Lakers. Kawhi to the Clips. Klay... Boogie... Butler...
It's going to get even better when they trade Hayward.
Yeah AD is a Laker now.
This SportsCenter anchor is a moron.
This SportsCenter anchor is a moron.
So because the Celtics could get a better player they are supposed to keep Isiah Thomas and overpay him?
Nobody in the right doesn’t make the trade the Celtics did. I got no problem with AD not wanting to play in Boston but this Isiah chit is just stupid. They traded him for Kyrie not a bag of balls.
His son is screwing New Orleans it’s funny.
Full quoteWasn’t sure if this got posted.
I am just this SportsCenter anchor doesn’t know chit. That’s fine, but it’s air coverage for players to use it against the Cs.
Woj and Shams saying the Lakers are offering Lonzo, Kuzma, Rondo, Beasley, and a first round pick for Davis lol. No chance that gets it done IMO.
