NBA free agency/LeBronapalooza 2018

Dwight Howard traded to Brooklyn for Timofey Mozgov and two 2nd round picks.

I believe this allows Charlotte to duck under the luxury tax while it allows Brooklyn to sign two max free agents next year.
Gonna need someone to explain this Dwight trade to me.

The luxury tax is the only thing that makes any sense. Charlotte gets a worse player for an extra year for 2 seconds??

mitch kupchak loves him some mozgov

I think we are actually going to see some fireworks this draft.
Teams 2-4 want to make trades for the deal.

Trueblue25 I think barring Doncic going 2 to Sacramento that Danny Ainge is going to cash in his assets and come away with Doncic at 3.

I read Atlanta and Boston have a framework that would include Orlando and that would net Orlando Rozier and 27, Yabusele and Atlanta would get 6, Sacramento and Memphis picks and Boston would get 3.
Atlanta wants Trae Young.

Thats a lot. Do you think Doncic is worth it? i trust Danny. But Doncic kinda resembles a slow ben simmons/dirk hybrid to me idk.

Considering this is how the Celtics got the Grizzlies pick
January 12, 2015: As part of a 3-team trade, the Boston Celtics traded Jeff Green to the Memphis Grizzlies; the Memphis Grizzlies traded Tayshaun Prince and a future 1st round draft pick to the Boston Celtics; the Memphis Grizzlies traded Quincy Pondexter and a 2015 2nd round draft pick (Branden Dawson was later selected) to the New Orleans Pelicans; the New Orleans Pelicans traded Austin Rivers to the Boston Celtics; and the New Orleans Pelicans traded Russ Smith to the Memphis Grizzlies and the fact the Sacramento pick is literally a free pick Danny got for going from 1 to 3 last year I have no problem with him cashing in if he believes in Doncic.

I guess we’ll see if it’s real tonight. I’d really love to get Bamba but everyone does seem to think Doncic is the next big thing

If all

Bamba is Nerlens Noel 2.0.
I am not cashing in for that.
If the Celtics trade up I want either Porter Jr. or Doncic.
I want high side potential.

I'm not all that high on Bamba personally, but the huge difference that jumps off the page is that Noel is a jackass and Bamba is regarded as extremely nice, driven, and intelligent. And Bamba also hypothetically has some offense outside of dunks unlike Noel.

76ers stashing Musa would be a very 76ers thing, and I mean that in a good way.

BTW I saw an advance screening of Uncle Drew.
It is a great “bad” movie.
Chris Webber MVP of the movie by far.
He was hilarious.
Kyrie was okay.
That's exactly what I wanted to hear.

Givony reporting that Dallas is considering trading down with Chicago to take Porter at 7.

I don’t trust anything they do to be the right move, so this would just be more of the same.

Yes, this is also true. Even though it's a new front office, my default assumption is always they're gonna screw up.
