NBA playoffs: greatest show on Earth

I'm loving that a lot of commentary today is about how OKC got hosed and the Jazz got away with one (several).

That's just going to fuel the Jazz. They thrive on the mentality that people disrespect them and the Jazz know they are better than everyone else believes them to be. This just adds to that.

Rockets better be ready.

Maybe.. Jazz shot more Free Throws than OKC. The Crowder/George sequence of fouls was the only real spot where you could say OKC got the benefit of the whistle. The out of bounds calls were awful but both ways.
Note to the world: NBA officiating is as bad or worse than college. The NBA guys are too fast and too strong. Every play there is some kind of bumping, hand checking, moving pick, travelling, etc. Not to mention the incessant whining. OMG. The whining is crazy. Not looking forward to this series with Chrissy Paul.

Donovan Mitchell would've looked better in a Knicks uni, but he should be grateful his hometown team didn't pick him. The kid's a stud. Love his game.
The Knicks wouldn't have developed him like the Jazz have I don't think.

I also find it a tad strange that people think the NBA is officiated so much better than college. It seems like stars get fouls, and otherwise, you could take a bat to someone's knees and they wouldn't call it. It's Thunderdome on some plays and they call nothing. I mean, I guess that's one way to officiate, just call nothing, but it's weird to watch. The whining is insane - but probably because they allow non-stop fouling

Without a doubt. He's in a far better place, professionally speaking.
He and his agent identified the Jazz as an organization where he could succeed.

I don't think anybody expected things to work out this well for everybody, though.

OKC, more than most, if not all teams, has no system.

Agreed. Melo also said he wouldn’t come off the bench (in this same interview session). Seems pretty pissed.

Very happy that Celtics won. Great game by Rozier, Horford, and Tatum.

Sure hope Brown is able to play next series, but hamstrings are tough. Going to be very hard series against the 6ers, esp. if Brown is limited.

The Warriors are going to be tough to beat. Once Steph is back the game will be easier for KD and Klay.

When is the last time that a team had the two best players in a series Giannis and Kris Middleton those guys played at or above their normal level, and that team still lost?
Crazy how stupid the Bucks coach was.
Brad Stevens has them win this series in 5 or 6.

Can't totally fault Prunty since he sort of fell into this role, but you are right. At one point the Bucks had Jet and Shabazz in the game at the same time. I know they have issues on offense, but that was incredible to see.

That has to be the most coveted job for any potential coach on the move this off season.

Would be great for Coach K.

Love's thumb is clearly injured. Bron is going to have win this one himself.

EDIT: K Love just hit a three after missing his first two shots like he was throwing the game.

The Cavs made an interesting choice with their starting lineup, putting in "the guys that have been there before."

On one level, that makes a lot of sense.

On another level, it reinforces that they aren't really a team.

Cavs aren’t winning the East this year.

If they did I think GS will sweep them this year.
I wouldn’t take the Cavs against either the Pelicans or Jazz right now.
The East is down again. Philly may get 1 or 2 games tops.
Toronto plays down in the postseason and Boston is hurt would be swept.
