If the Rockets and Clippers start to really slide starting in 2023, the Thunder could build a dynasty via the draft.
Interesting flexing for someone who saw their team lose in the same round.

The Nuggets are going to be exhausted and I don’t see the Lakers ever stepping off the gas. They’ll have a defensive game plan for Murray and Jokic, so unless Porter goes off, I don’t see Denver winning a game.

Maybe they tease us with one win after going down 3-0.
I appreciate your commitment to your prediction.

I don't think they're going to be tired. I think fatigue is a lot more manageable in the bubble.

The Nuggets have proven that they're never out. They're full of confidence. No team has overcome more in the playoffs. It's a team of destiny.

I think it'll be a competitive series, but in the end, the Nuggets are going to take down another giant.

In a week or so, most people will agree the Clippers lost this series more than the Nuggets won it.

Remember how exhausted they were in Game 1? Sure, they’ll get an extra day of rest this round, but Murray and Jokic logged a ton of minutes tonight.

Also, remember that the Clippers built up those big leads in the first place. It’s not like the Nuggets were letting them do that on purpose. When the Lakers get those leads, they’re not going to give them away.

o.k...the lakers gave up an 22 point lead to the rockets and were trailing in the 4th quarter of game two... so i don't think you can say this.

I am still shocked the Clippers lost but the Nuggets weren’t a little engine that could.
They were the 3 seed in the West which everyone believes is the better conference and they just played the Lakers to a buzzer beater in the seeding games that Kuzma hit.

Jokic will force Davis to play center which he hates to do.
Jeremi Grant will guard LeBron and Syracuse will have a player in the NBA Finals.

My mom’s Celtics season tickets got offered a seat in the NBA virtual fan wall if she wants it.

She said that the game for the people in the virtual fans will watch the game on their computer in a chat room and you get a feed of the game that is 5 seconds ahead of the TV broadcast.

I don’t think she will watch 4 quarters on her computer but it’s interesting that those fans get a feed ahead of the TV.

I know a few people that have done it and they all said it's just horrible lol. You basically have to bring in a second screen to watch the TV broadcast because I guess the system they use only allows you to use like half your screen for the game. I guess if you have a giant monitor or something it might be fine.

I can't wait for the rumors about Kawhi/Paul George signing with Miami, Toronto, Dallas, Golden State, etc. in 2021 to start up. I've been told this is how it works when you have impending free agents that disappoint in the playoffs.

Celtics won first and third quarter by 19 points.
They lost the second and fourth by the same amount.

Heat didn’t figure anything out. Celtics stopped moving the ball in the fourth quarter and got in the penalty way too early which gave the Heat offense a lot of cheap points.

This will be a long series.
I agree I think this is 7 games - don't watch the Celtics enough but still don't see the genius of Stevens or Kemba.

In the west, I wanted whoever had the best chance to beat the Lakers. I'm no Nugget fan, I thought before this series that the best chance was the Clippers. Well I guess it's go Nuggs time now. Grant can earn himself another nice payday if he can do anything with LBJ. He did pretty well against Kawhi. Resume builder.

Nuggets aren’t a strong bet to beat the Lakers just because the Lakers have two top 5 players but this isn’t a Portland-Golden State series like last year’s WCF.

Denver after LeBron and Davis probably has the 3 best players in this series and if Kuzma doesn’t step up the Lakers could struggle.

Denver has the roster to give the Lakers a little bit of trouble unlike Houston the Lakers won’t dominate the glass.
Rondo will be a lot easier for Denver to handle since Harris has come back.

Jokic is going to force AD to play the 5 which he hates to do against Covington and Tucker he was okay with it.
Jokic needs to take him into the paint and make him bang bodies which Jokic can do and Davis hates.
If the Lakers play Dwight Howard or McGhee that is a win for Nuggets that will clog the Lakers offense and allow the Nuggets to play Michael Porter more since he struggles on defense but if the Lakers play Howard and Rondo their offense will have terrible shooting on the floor.

At least Kawhi gets to play at home.

If he wanted to be a champion he should have stayed in Toronto and certainly not hooked up with Playoff Paul
He needs to own that decision for sure - Kawhi can opt out in what 2 years?

If the Clippers fire Doc I can’t find a better coach than Calipari.

Would he take that job?

Ty Lue would be the easy choice.

I wouldn’t hire an NBA retread.
Clippers job needs an ego.

Feels like Kemba hasn't had a good game in a bit now. He needs to figure this out quickly, or this series won't turn out the way I hope.

Hot Take: If Kawhi stayed with the Raptors we would be discussing them being a likely repeat champion and an all time great team. Instead he goes to team who played scared down the stretch. Something at least Lowry, Powell and FVV didn't do last year or this year

Respect for Kyle Lowry on the rise after Kawhi pooped the bed last night. And has George ever been a big-game stud?

Article out from The Athletic today about Giannis' meeting with owner Marc Lasry. Nothing too groundbreaking but I guess the most significant parts of it are:
  • The Bucks have been confident for a long time now that Giannis will sign the supermax when they can offer it (which still seems unlikely to me but would obviously be awesome if he does)
  • Sources say the Bucks ownership view Chris Paul as a poor fit personality wise with the locker room and specifically with Giannis and that all indications are they'll look elsewhere for upgrades.
  • Says Bud knows Giannis and Middleton need to play a lot more minutes moving forwards.
  • The Bucks aren't as concerned with the wall defense itself as much as they are with the fact that their shooting went cold for the 2nd straight year, and in this year's case, players were hesitant to shoot in the playoffs after "letting it fly" throughout the regular season. Also specifically singled out Bledsoe's inability to create off the dribble and inability to make shots.
