"We?"

I think 75% of sports fans use we. If you don't use it you are probably more the exception -- not that either is bad.

I have no problem with people using we. Only when they take the "We" too far. If I am thinkig about a game a few weeks down the road or potential playoff matchup, a fan comes in and says "We need to focus on one game at a time. We shouldn't be thinking of the playoffs. We just need to play hard tonight.".

When fans start to contradict the "fan we" with the "players we", that is when I get either amused or annoyed. .

What was Kemba Walker doing at the end of the Celtics-Thunder game yesterday? He essentially traps himself by running right towards his corner.

A bit of a brain fart. I thought Paul Harris may have entered his body for a second.

I know he was out these 2 games but the depth of the Bucks was supposed to be why they were smashing point deferential records.

I was thinking about taking them but I don’t like the Mile High Factor. Denver and Salt Lake are tough places to play a back to back at.

Yeah I think Denver's record as the home team when the opponent is playing the second night in a row, especially when Denver isn't, is crazy good

Fair enough, I hear ya and understand and, bottom line in relation to legit serious issues, ain't no big whoop-de-doo. I just find "we" strange when you're a rabid fan and not a member of the team.

I'm a fan of the Black Keys, for example, I doubt I'd ever say, "Man, we put on a killer show last night." I'm a fan of comedian/podcaster Bill Burr, I've never say, "We had 'em laughing in the aisles."

To me, "we" ends when you're an adult. Just personal preference. And, again, no big whoop-de-doo.

But, I do have to say, we had a great weekend against the Bucks and Clippers. I fugged around and got a triple double.

ESPN just loves pumping Lebron and hating on the Raptors championship.

Listening to their show with SAS and some Max Dude (this morning when they talked about Kawhi vs Lebron from yesterday.

The topic comes up about whether the Raptors win the 2019 championship if Lebron stays in the East. He says that he would have made the finals in Cleveland (point A) and that they would have then won the title because Kevin Durant and Kyle Thompson were injured (point B)

Point A - The Cleveland Cavs win the East title last year with Lebron.

The Cleveland team was not good at all in 2018. They made the finals, and got curb stomped. They got by the Raptors in 2018, because Demar Derozan is a headcase during the playoffs and the Raptors needed change,. They barely got by a Celtics team in the ECF that was still really young and had injuries to overcome.

Do they not realize that Kawhi was not on the 2018 Raptors... right I forgot since Lebron won on Sunday, it means he is better than Kahwi.

It's not only disrespectful to the 2019 Raptors, but to a great 2019 Milwaukee Bucks teams, and a very good 2019 76ers team. I really doubt that the 2019 Cavaliers with Lebron stand a chance against any of those teams. The East strengthened quite a bit between 2018 and 2019. Plus the Cavs would have been worse than they were in 2018.

Point B - The Cleveland Cavaliers would have won the title because Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson were injured.

This is another point meant to diminish the Raptors. Yes, if Durant had not been injured the Raptors are very, very likely to have lost in the finals.

But you don't get to say "And Klay Thompson". Klay Thompson played into the 4th quarter in 5 games, and the Raptors won 3 of them. The Warriors were also 1-2 in full games played by Klay Thompson (and that 1 game was won because Durant was a stud for about 15 minutes)

You are comparing apples and oranges.

Are Bill Burr or the Black Keys a team? I have never heard anybody use "we" when it comes to a musician or comedian.

I went to this thread, and on the first page alone, eight different people said we or a variation of it.

Just seems really odd to pick on one person for using we, when its use is very rampant.

Lol no Cleveland was not beating that version of Toronto last year. Doubt they even could have beat Milwaukee.

ESPN may be the reason I can’t stand Lebron. They try to give him titles he never won all the time. Only player you ever hear this about.

ESPN and their coverage of LeBron is why I am not a fan.

I'm not picking on anyone, It was an observation. Relax. Bigger issues in life to get riled about. I never saw the thread you refer to, but crack research.

Use "we" all you want. Let sports fan use "we" if that makes them feeI connected to a team. I was just making a simple innocent remark.

I wish you & your Raptors luck -- I'm a fan. I hope you & the Raptors beat the bejeebers outta the Bucks in the playoffs.

Fair enough my friend. Should not have come back at you.

Kendrick has spokin’ .

As well as the Raps are playing, there is a large contingent of Raptors fans that is absorbed with Nick Nurse's fascination with playing Patrick McCaw who appears to be useless on the floor. Many are not happy with it.

I am more laid back about it. Not happy that he is playing so much, but given that is a NN making the decision I have acceptance.

Lol NBA is considering taking the teams that play in cities with a high number of coronavirus infections and moving them to cities that don't have it yet/don't have many cases. There's no way they're actually this stupid, right?

I think it might be a matter of time before they start cancelling all sporting events. I know some have already cancelled and others are rumored to be heavily considering it.

Warriors as I said previously are now going to be playing empty arena home games.

Trash talk will now be a lot less.

Yep, and I imagine this is why the networks have flexed the Warriors' games off; nobody wants to listen to a bunch of shoes squeaking for the entire telecast even if Curry does play.

D wade boycotting his sons games due to his playing time is about the most pathetic thing I’ve ever heard .. that team is stacked with 4 and 5 star players and his kid is a 3.. which is a great accomplishment.. but doesn’t equate to him deserving of more PT

If they could have flexed them out this entire time, why have we been forced to watch them all year in national games ?

Hope not. I want those mics turned up loud. I want to hear it all. Maybe put it on a delay and bleep out the curses?

I'm watching the Jazz vs OKC game and just as they were going to tip off the players were told to go into the locker room. Announcers were told they are waiting to get permission from Secaucus to play the game. Refs grabbed their stuff and also left the floor

Game has been postponed. Twitter speculation is because of Rudy Gobert being sick with.....coronavirus
