You put Harden with Kawhi, I think the Clips can beat the Lakers.

I am not a fan of Harden, but I think people are underselling him here. You can argue he's one of the top five most offensively gifted NBA players, ever. I'm not saying he is, just saying you can make the case.

I know it's easy to pile on the Clippers, but they were still up 3-1 on Denver with a team that hated each other.

Swap in Harden... that team is awesome.

Harden is a super frustrating player in a lot (like, A LOT) of ways but I actually think you could argue even that is underselling him. He's basically a cheat code to have a top level offense.

A usage rate over 35% and a true shooting over 60% is basically unheard of; it's happened 4 times in history, and Harden is responsible for 3 of them.

Harden wanted Dwight Howard gone. Then he wanted Westbrook instead of Paul. Now he wants Wall over Westbrook.

Think he’ll ever realize that he is not the guy?

I don't think the latter two points are necessarily true. Paul wanted out. Westbrook wanted out. And Harden also wants out.

As for Dwight, pretty much every team he's ever played on has wanted him gone with the exception of possibly Orlando.

Chris Paul and James Harden had a falling out.
That is true. It was part of the reason they were willing to trade for Russell Westbrook.

Chris Paul hated Harden’s effort.
Houston kept harden over him.

 
How do we know the trade wouldn't be a swap of Kyrie and Harden?

Really only because Harden's been pushing to get traded to Brooklyn to play with both Durant and Kyrie. It's theoretically possible it could be a swap of the two but I'd be extremely shocked if that's the case.

CP3 always gets hurt, though.

The Clips aren’t interested in Harden. Not right now, anyway. I think they want to see how things go before making any more moves.

What is funny is Larry Bird only made 649 3 point shots in his career.

Steph Curry in 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 seasons alone made 726 3 point shots.

It’s amazing how stupid NBA teams were in the 1980s.

It’s not like Bird wasn’t the one of the best shooters in the league in that time either.

Bird would have been like Dirk nowadays.
Dirk and Bird couldn’t defend that well but they were studs.

My brother used to infuriate me when we played NBA Live, by picking all guys with the highest 3 point shooting ratings, and then playing his 5 best shooters and just taking 3s all game long.

Looks like he was onto something.

I would do the same thing! NBA Live 05, I would be the Suns (first season of 7 seconds or less) and play Maciej Lampe (!!!) at C. I have no idea why he had a good 3 point rating, but he did!

haha. This was like Live 96 or 97 on Super Nintendo. We’d draft teams and he’d have like Reggie Miller, Dennis Scott, Glen Rice, Mitch Richmond, and George McCloud out there or something.
