NBA Thread 2021-22 Season

Its not even a question. He’s averaging 18 and 10 while turning Tatum into nothing but a jump shooter.
Tatum is soft as baby chit around the rim. Bieljica turned Tatum into a jump shooter

That Smart implosion, capped off by being a victim of a laughable flop, was so satisfying to watch.
What exactly did he do during his “implosion”? Saw the replay and couldn’t really figure out what the T was for

Only saw some of the first quarter but they were really playing great D on Curry. He finished 0-9 from 3. That snaps a really long streak, right?

I didn’t think they did anything special. He missed a lot of shots short. Probably dead legs.
The possessions I saw early he was totally being shadowed way more than other times in this series.

I may be combining some moments from throughout the game by accident, but I think this all happened nearly back to back to back:

- flopping to give up the wide open Klay 3
- flopping setting a screen
- complaining that the Warriors player wasn’t called for a foul when he flopped setting a screen, and getting called for a T in the process
- offensive foul when Poole flopped
- delay of game for throwing the ball after getting called for the offensive foul

I actually thought he was going to get ejected for a second technical when he threw the ball. For someone that lives off conning the refs as much as he does, it was amazing to see everything go against him for such a long stretch there.

Klay did extend the arm, and you only get the call if you sell it. He just went too far with his histrionics.

The Poole play was complete bullspit. Worst part of the game today, and yes, I’m aware Marcus is a huge offender in this space. They need to fine these guys serious money for this acting nonsense. Play the damned game.

Marcus not only flops too much, he slams himself down. It actually looks painful a lot of the time. I am with others that think these are not helping him even if it is an offensive foul.

No data to support this, but Tatum needs to attack more. He needs to be living at the line.

He made some tough buckets, but he was dead-legged by the 4th, so was Brown.

That game was the Cs for the taking. Thought they would do a truncated version of game 1 when they took the lead but they ran out of gas.

I can’t imagine Steph having another game like this.

Draymond and Marcus Smart drive me nuts.

Yeah I'm sure his legs were a little gone but they did seem to do a good job on him.

Part of it is make or miss league, but in the first 4 games of the series he took 14, 12, 11, and 14 3's. He took 9 last night. So he wasn't even able to get the number of looks he normally does.

It's pretty wild they won a finals game when Steph didn't make a single 3. It's pretty wild Steph could play 37 minutes and not make a three. Steph played an all time great game and they won by 10, then he plays one of his lesser games and they win by more. Crazy.

Yeah and a few of those were when the game was effectively over, with a couple of mins left.

It’s too radical, but I’d really love to see them just skip the fines and go straight to suspending people. Do it for a year and just completely eradicate this stuff and then you can walk the punishment back down to fines if you want.

I’m just so sick of it all.

I wouldn’t be surprised if last night’s shots for Steph were higher quality looks than the previous 4 games too. He was living off just hitting an insane number of contested shots.
Yeah, like the best defensive team with the DPOY who is a guard are playing, for the most part, great defense on him. I think we keep forgetting that.
