Hasn't been as good this year. If his injury persists though this series gets much tougher for the Bucks.

Idk what the general consensus is but he’s a borderline all star that sometimes can play at an All NBA level. The talk with him has always been that he isn’t good enough to be the #2 player on a title team and I think that’s underrating him if anything.

The game announcers always talk about him like he's another Kobe.

Chicago had their chances in Game 1, but they couldn't throw the ball into Lake Michigan. Bulls shot the ball well last night though. The knock against DeRozan is he doesn't play well in the playoffs. He stepped it up last night and brought the midrange game that he is known for.

Bucks officially in the danger zone with Middleton likely missing the rest of the series. Jrue has turned back into Eric Bledsoe for the playoffs again. All is not well.

Nets aren't done yet - KD has been awful this series and it really should be 1-1. KD needs to share the ball when doubled, Kyrie has to compete a little (give Trae Young credit he wears the villain cloak and owns it good or bad, Kyrie needs to take a page out of his book) , and the Nets cannot allow Al Horford to be the best big on the floor.
Boston is tough, very well coached and has some alpha's but this series is not over yet. Two days off and going to Brooklyn, I will be surprised if the Nets don't win Game 3.

I still just don't think Brooklyn is a good team personally. And Boston has figured out that they really only need to guard a couple players on the Brooklyn roster, so they can totally sell out on mucking things up for Durant without worrying about Brooklyn making them pay.

The theory of Brooklyn is a very good team because they have Durant and to a lesser extent, Kyrie. But in practice that hasn't really shown up. Is Simmons gonna make a huge difference? Considering he hasn't played in nearly a year it seems hard for me to believe that.

Durant is amazing and can single handedly win them a game or 2, but they need to take 4 out of 5 now. And Boston is really good. (this pains me to say) And they are especially well situated to play the Nets since they have Smart to put on Kyrie and Tatum for Durant

Me too. Chicago has been without Ball since the middle of January. Bulls were one of the stronger teams for the first half of the season... then the injuries (Ball, Williams, Caruso, LaVine, White) piled up.

I understand the added defense part, but how is adding Simmons going to reduce the double/triple teams. He doesn't have to be guarded seriously.

yeah but Houston can add pieces as they go though. Sure, Mobley probably would have been the better choice but Green is very talented. I think Houston needs to deal with some of the bad actors on the team as well and the 45 million dollar elephant in the room if they can. Just don't know what you do with Wall though. Only 1 year left right?

Agree with your post though, need a bunch of versatile 6-7/6-9 guys in the NBA now who can defend multiple positions and shoot as well

He can’t. You can’t win with this guy as a regular rotation guy, and certainly not as a starter ..

I’m afraid they’re going to try and make him happen … and screw up other personnel decisions / draft picks as a result

wow denver. wow. total absolute cluelessness down the stretch..down 3 points with more than 2 minutes left and they kept shooting 3 after 3 after 3 and never made it. should have gone inside to joker for a deuce and possible foul. total panic for many minutes.

Agreed, I don't think Porter or Wood are guys that help build team culture. I think Houston has to start building there as well. Too many misfits and me first guys from what I saw out there, some talent for sure but they need some vets that can set the example ( gordon, schroder and woood are not those guys) and rookies who will accept their roles.
