Pulling for the ultimate Philly choke job just to see Harden get crushed.

It's definitely starting to trend that way. Harden is going to come out firing in game 6, could go either way but the Raptors are going to be tough. Credit to the entire Toronto Raptors organization for hanging in there and playing tough. Plenty of teams would have rolled it up and no VanVleet last night.

I’m really torn because I hate Miami and I think Philly has a much better chance of beating them than Toronto does, but god, I really just don’t want to have to watch Embiid and Harden flop all over the court any longer than I have to.

With apologies to the Bucks, I think Miami vs Boston is going to be a great series with the winner having a great shot winning the whole thing. Although I think Golden State might be tough, especially if Booker is on the DL.

What do you hate about Miami?

I like them. Well run organization that has everyone on on the same page. Develops dudes properly and don't rest on their laurels that they're a good free agent destination. Jimmy Butler is insane but busts his tail.

League would be better if more franchises had their stuff together like the Heat imho.

All the BS they were throwing out there about Giannis for years. And also they’re just the poster boys for moving screens and I can’t stand it.

When the Simmons/Harden trade went down I surmised this could well be a win/win for both teams, and this was an opinion shared by a number of others. It appeared to perhaps but the Sixers/Nets a step above the rest of the East. Simmons appeared to be a perfect complement to Durant/Irving and Harden was replacing somebody who was not playing in Philly. And I was clearly wrong.

It has been a disaster for both teams -- not sure if Simmons will ever come back at this point. Harden while still crafty out there and can still set up plays is nowhere near the level he was before. And giving him a 4 or 5 year max extension is not very likely to turn out well.

I guess the Sixers could still win it all this year but that seems unlikely.

I suppose the Nets at least got a few weak first round picks out of Philly. But that only barely offsets the haul they gave up to get Harden in the first place.
After last year, I could not understand why anyone would take on that Simmons' contract for a guy that literally does not have to be guarded.
I don't think Harden can be counted on to win a big game.

Not familiar with these things so I'll take your word for it.

What a great OOB play for they tying 3 point shot for Minnesota. Great design and execution.
All for naught. That's two games that Minnesota was winning that turned into losses. Unfortunate.

I only liked them for that 40 game stretch when in shape and healthy Dion was their GUY.

They had reporters saying Miami probably wouldn’t even include Herro or Duncan Robinson in trade packages for Giannis, that he had agreed to a contract with Miami, etc. Everyone’s fans were obviously hoping he’d join their respective team, but Miami’s reporters were pushing it so hard and it was just really annoying to have to put up with.

I’ve really enjoyed their smack talk back and forth. You can tell Bev and Ja are just having fun with each other. It was hilarious watching Ja do the “too small” thing right back on the following possession after he scored on Russell.

Chuck said it earlier in the series, Minnesota has a knack for playing extremely dumb.

Fantastic play and shot by Edwards to tie that game. Followed it up with some of the worst defense you'll ever see considering the game situation by, somehow, gambling on the steal and leaving Morant a wide open waltz into the paint. You absolutely cannot let the player get between you and the basket. Let him catch and shoot a 3. You are not playing the 3 point line.

That was bad. Really bad.

BTW, two other thoughts on Cs/Nets:

- If Bron ever had the series KD just did, he would get demolished.

- You can make a credible argument that KD is one of the best 15 players of all time. However, in that series, Tatum was better than him. No grey area. Tatum was the best player in that series.
Tatum was blocking his shot as a primary defender.. I never thought I’d see that
