Have they tried this BS in Miami yet or just back in Denver?
Ive only seen it in Denver, but not sure.

They look like some real scrubs though. Calm down, lol.

There are more than a few fellow Serbs or Ruskies in Miami happy to sit them down I'm sure.

Jokic first 30/20 triple double in finals history.

Wilt had 37 playoff games of 30/20. That’s pretty wild.
So will a center dominating the game and winning it all finally be what swings the game back in a direction towards balance? Will more teams look for offensive minded centers? It’s always been a copycat league.

I’m completely over watching scrawny guards Chucking 35 footers and prancing their way to the basket. Not a Curry diss, but Trae Young and all the other copycats can suck it.

The Jokic brothers are caricatures of the worst fans you'll see at basketball games but to be fair, that clip is from the fight with Morris a couple years ago.

Well, if it was with Morris, that’s cool. ;)

If you can find centers that can pass like magic, shoot threes, dribble and basically be a 300 pound Larry Bird, yes, haha.

I think they key is ability to create offense.

Think it’s less about the traditional position and more about his insane abilities.

With all that said, Wemby is going #1.

What I found interesting is that Chris Paul in an interview this week stated that he only left New Orleans because that he was told that when the team was owned by the NBA that it would be leaving NOLA and then he and David West felt it was best to move on. Then this news breaks a day later and it's well known that one of his best friends is current Pels coach Willie Green. They played in New Orleans together. No idea where Paul will wind up but I think it would be crazy to think that the two aren't at least having a conversation. Paul is still booed non stop when he plays in New Orleans and he went out of his way to say he understood why but clarified the reasons why he left years ago. He says he has real family that still live in the City and his sister in law is from there etc, charity still does considerable work in the area etc. Pels could use a locker room cop for sure but I highly doubt he comes back to New Orleans. I just found the whole thing strange that after 12 years he tries to set the record straight

The Paul news was very weird. Chris Haynes tweets the story out. Woj and Shams don't say anything for a couple of hours. Then they basically say the Suns are working through their options with Paul, which is a little different than him being straight up released. I am not totally sure what to make of it, but very weird.

I was saying to my friend I could possibly see some kind of Paul to the clippers trade. The clippers could use a PG, they have a roster full of guys making money, and the Suns really need bodies to flesh out the roster

Seems like it’s probably one of those deals where if they can’t find a trade partner, they’re going to release him. Haynes only got the latter part of the story.

Alternative theories: Phoenix saw the reaction and was like “well hang on, maybe we can actually get something for him.”

Or Phoenix leaked that they were releasing him to try to get last minute trade offers from teams that don’t have the ability to sign him.

I was also thinking at first that Paul leaked it to Haynes and he wanted to get the story out there. The later reporting says he want to stay, (at first I thought he was tryign to engineer a way to be a FA and pick his landing spot) maybe he wanted it out there they were gonna cut him to see if the public sentiment would be way against them and they would keep him? I dunno. it was weird. My gut says Paul would prefer A) to stay in Phoenix for $30 million a year (duh) or B) to be a fa and have a chance to pick his spot as opposed to being traded.

So where do people put Murray now in terms of best players in the game? Is his stature hurt because Joker obviously makes his game a little easier? He has been very impressive to my eyes, and I'd take him over Mitchell, Fox, Lilliard and a few others who I think get more respect than him.

I think Murray's stature has been helped greatly, since the Nuggets had two very underwhelming playoff appearances the last two years without him.

He's in a weird spot because he's never been an all-star I don't think and hasn't even come close to All-NBA, but is a playoff phenom.

He’s such a weird one because he doesn’t really play like this in the regular season at all. It’s not even like he’s coasting in the regular season…he’s just a pretty good player. But then the playoffs start and he’s suddenly one of the best players in the league.

Like I don’t think he’s ever made an All NBA team or even less, an All Star team.

Yeah he's good but of the guys listed above, I think Lillard and Mitchell are clearly better players. Fox was this year, but not sure how real this season was.

I was looking at Murray's stats and the big difference is he's averaging 7 more MPG in the playoffs then he did in the regular season. His usage is only slightly up(26.4 vs 28). His efg% is right in line to where he was before he got injured two years ago so it's not like he's really playing over his head. The one area where there's a big difference is at the free throw line where he's been automatic.

He's playing with an historically great offensive player.

You put him on even a middle of the pack team, he's still productive, but he wouldn't be at this level, imo.

Lillard, at his apex, was a lock to make an all nba team, without question and a dark horse MVP candidate.

Jamal isn't close to that at all.

Mitchell and Fox have both also been #1s and got to the playoffs.

You take Jokic off this team and drop in a Clint Capela type center and Jamal becomes #1, where do you think they are?

Clearly Jokic is the main catalyst here, but it was painfully obvious the past couple of years that the Nuggets weren't doing anything without Murray in the playoffs. Murray with Clint Capela is not as good as Jokic with a run of the mill guard, but they probably have a similar amount of success as last year's Nuggets, which is a 6th seed getting run out of the playoffs easily by the Warriors.

Denver needs both of those guys to play at a high level to win. Brown has been solid and Braun has started to break out, but they might have the worst bench of any potential title team going back more than a decade.

Wonder if Jeremiah regrets not signing nuggets extension? He'd do what Porter wont or can't.
