NC State Kickoff: 3:30 ACCN

I don't think so, I thought ABC/ESPN gets first dibs.

ACCN is ESPN/ABC

With a weak lineup of ACC games for that week, it makes sense that they want this game on their channel

right, I know it's part of ESPN/ABC, I guess that is what they figured.

3:30 is perfect but ACCN? C'monnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Agree with this. I was hoping for ABC. At least ESPN or ESPN2.

It should be clear to everyone by this point this game is a big one. It could determine who finishes second in the ACC. Games that feature two top 20 teams playing against each other do not belong on ACCN.

I know they are playing Clemson, but having BC get an ABC prime game this week and our game with NC State getting relegated to ACCN next week is extra annoying to me!

Lets help BC beat Clemson in any way possible

I still think the ND game has a good chance at Gameday plus ABC prime time if we can beat NC State and ND beats BYU (ND has Stanford and UNLV after that)

At that point you are looking at 6-1 or 7-0 Cuse vs a 5-2 ND team and ESPN/ABC loves to put ND in primetime when they can since they have very few times to showcase them during the year.

The other interesting thing I noticed from this round of game time announcements is Clemson FSU is ABC Primetime. That is 3 Clemson games in row on ABC primetime so it is extremely unlikely Cuse vs Clemson on the 23rd is Primetime. That game probably ends up in the Noon or 3:30 window on ABC that weekend so Cuse avoids a night game in Death Valley.

Yeah, I know, but Miami @ VT as 12:30 RSN is really really funny.
Some clueless VT fans were trying to make this one of the biggest rivalries in ACC history. This is not a rivalry we can sacrifice!

What have their been, 2 games in history where both programs were ranked? If so, they were likely back in the dark days before Syracuse and Pitt joined the conference, when BC dominated and VT was sometimes over .500.

This game airing on the ACCN vs. the Mothership, or any of its endeared sister networks, should remove any doubt and the rather humorous false notion that ADJW may have any meaningful connections/relationship with the network's current powers that be.

How many games with 2 ranked opponents has ACCN had? Why do I feel the answer is none?

No it doesn’t.

3:30pm CBS: Alabama at Tennessee
3:30pm ABC or ESPN: Oklahoma State at TCU
3:30pm ABC or ESPN: Arkansas at BYU
3:30pm ESPN2: Maryland at Indiana
3:30pm ACCN: NC State at Syracuse
3:30pm SECN: Vanderbilt at Georgia
4:00pm FOX: Wisconsin at Michigan St
5 people are going to watch Arkansas at BYU.

I think we all know what we must do.

This is one of the worst takes I’ve seen

There are 6 ACC teams off on Oct 15th

ACCN is guaranteed a 12pm, 330 and a 7pm

This is a great way for ESPN to tout how great their ACCN is by having a top 25 (we hope) mactch up on their platform

And reminder, if NC State loses this weekend they probably aren’t a rank squad coming in and we are.

Funny how fast things change

The league’s marquee matchup this week - FSU @Ncstate is on the ACC network.

It’s not by accident that the ACCN is getting the best weekly matchups.

The league is trying like hell to maximize ad revenue on the ACCN where there is potential advertising market growth.

The time slots on ABC and the ESPN suite of stations likely have far fewer avails.

It was a better game in the Big East days. They all were.

Perhaps. However, I doubt it has much (if anything) to do with the "unfortunate circumstance" of only 4 conference games as it does with ESPN choosing/preferring to go with other games it viewed as more attractive. My understanding is that ESPN has first dibs, etc. and simply deferred here. The ACCN chooses after ESPN makes its decision.
Northeast carpetbaggers vs. the red-headed stepchildren of tobacco road... no-brainer for Greensboro brass when you look at the league primetime spots.
