New DC: Rocky Long (now official)

Let's see, IMO we've got Schwartzwalder, Mac, Duffy Daugherty, and Nick Saban as the top 4. Would Long come in ahead of Coach P? Jim Tressel? I'm sure I'm forgetting others.

We had Buck O’Neill as our HC for years. He is in the college football hall of fame.

Bud Wilkinson was an assistant here like Saban. Probably should include him.

Biggie Munn was our HC briefly. Believe he is in the college HOF.

And Pappy Waldorf played here as a undergrad before becoming a HOF Coach at Cal.

A lot of great coaches have spent time at Syracuse…..

I should have been more careful with my words. I believe Rocky is a top 5 coach here in regard to when we got him. Obviously, Saban, Tressel, Coughlin, etc went on to be great coaches but they weren't yet. Rocky is now.
