New OC/QB Coach: Sterlin Gilbert

My thought always is it is not done until officially stated by SU. I’ve had to many deal blow up the last minute for some stupid reason. Thus, until the ink is dry nothing is final.
Especially during the coaching carousel.

Dino should be back today. Hopefully that will lead to clarification...

It's looking pretty twitter official

So now we just wait for the final adjustments on staff and fallout. Good luck to the coaches moving on, they were part of a really good team that took us bowling. Nothing but good will for them moving forward.
Well Ward is gone. McCloud is suppose to be gone. With Arnett and Gilbert we are still at 10.

Was thinking perhaps Martin and Lynch could be moving on. If not and they are reshuffled great so long as the old gets along with the new.

You're always going to have old and new, coaches and players.

Will Coach Babers have a press conference introducing the coordinators?

Usually you do not retain the former OC when you have hired a new one.
Last year was the first time Dino didn’t have Co-OC. Could see him doing it again, seems to be something he likes.
Guess we will have to wait on all the official shuffling and hires/firings are done.

Dino isn't going to have a press conference until February signing day or the start of Spring Practice.

Was watching a few minutes of 1st Mcneese State game for this year to see how Gilbert called it (Unsurprisingly, looked very similar to our offense). Turns out his QB was Ed Orgeron's son (if I got it correct).

Ok... was just offering a quick thanks to departing coaches whomever they end up being.
