Why Dart over McCord? I don't get it.

The fans would've gone crazy. Nassib and Devito didn't exactly set East Rutherford on fire.

Agree. And even if he is it’s in a few years under a new coaching staff. Seems like an overpay.

Birds trade up one spot with the Chefs. Weird.

Gave up a 5th rounder (#164) to move up one spot. Must be worried of getting jumped for their guy… Bama LB!

Howie and Birds have changed their tune on the linebacker spot. Paid Baun.. and now drafting a LB in the 1st round. Nakobe Dean has had a hard time staying on the field.

He entered Bama as an Edge. Maybe Vic looks at him there. Or him and Baun will give QBs fits as to who is coming. I like this pick. Just wonder who they heard was going to take him at 31.

I was totally floored when they picked Carter and the College Gameday crew said that nobody on the Giants wears #11 so maybe he can keep the vaunted State Penn number. Nobody wears it because they hung it in the rafters for Phil Simms. BTW, I guess I’m new to the #11 significance but when the first example you come up with is Lavar Arrington, aren’t you trying too hard to make something from nothing?

Even if he is as good as Daddy Sanders presents, he is likely to be a poor choice for the Giants' clubhouse and for the NYC media. Giants have a long and storied history of betting the farm to move up…
… and draft a QB who would’ve been there at their original pick anyway.

At least their top pick made sense.

Because NFL teams rarely take risks early. Dart graded out 30+ points higher that McCord. Daboll and Schoen are drafting for their lives. No way they are going to take McCord in the 1st round.
