Newton and Ryan have won regular season MVPs.
Carr was 3rd in the MVP a couple of years ago.
Stafford and Foles are better QBs now than Eli.

Eli needs everything around him to be solid for him to be success.
That means if you gave a good team he could win but he can’t elevate medicority right now.
I would put Eli in the high 20s right now.
Past fears only count in the regular season and not for Eli.

Got it.
Ryan Carr newton and Stafford absolutely suck.

So does Foles.

Book is not written on wentz and rookies.

I think the Eagles will franchise him and a team like the Jaguars look like a trade partner.
A second round pick for Foles and the Jags sign Foles.

Eagles salary cap issues may preclude them from doing that but they tend to be pretty creative so who knows?

Foles was a SB MVP. I seem to recall you saying that was a big deal.

Matt Ryan won an MVP 2 years ago.
Cam Newton won an MVP 3 years ago.
Eli Manning hasn’t ever been that good in a regular season even in his prime. Just stop with this.
Eli can be your favorite but he isn’t a top half QB anymore.

That is also likely. Quarterback class (draft & FA) is not strong. Eagles could get a good comp pick if they let him walk and sign elsewhere. Doubt they do.

NFL Divisional Round lines from RJ Bell.

Colts @ Chiefs -5.5 O/U 56.5
Cowboys @ Rams -7 O/U 48.5
Chargers @ Patriots -4.5 O/U 47
Eagles @ Saints -9 O/U 51

Eagles line is down to eight.

Franchising Foles keeps him out of the Eagles division.
Both Redskins and Giants could use a QB.

I am sure creating cap space for the move can get done. The Eagles will want Foles in the AFC Jacksonville could bounce back next year easily with a solid QB as their D can be fixed easily.

I just want the draft pick. They can't keep him so a decent draft pick would work for me. I wouldn't mind trading him to NY or Washington because they both pick high in the draft.

There's a good article on phillyvoice.com that covers it. Covers all the angles. Too tired to link it. Numerous moving parts. Kind of a game of chicken. Risks involved for both sides.

Foles better find a way to start for 15 years or as a career backup, he’s just Hoss with an extra trophy from the last game of the season.

The
Philly OL is playing much better now than they were a month ago. Chicago's vaunted pass rush was not a very big factor in the game.

Eagles have faced Aaron Donald, J.J. Watt and Khalil Mack during their four-game winning streak.

Those three players have combined for a TOTAL of zero sacks and three QB hits against them.

Big credit to the offensive line and coaches for game-planning.

Interesting Super Bowl possibilities:

Dallas - Kansas City: The Chiefs used to be the Dallas Texans

New Orleans - LA Chargers: Drew Brees vs, Philip Rivers

New Orleans - Indianapolis: A rematch of SB 44

LA Rams - LA Chargers: Howdy neighbor!

LA Rams - New England: Brady comes in with an SB vs. the rams and goes out with one?

Philadelphia - New England: Part 2

Philadelphia- Kansas City: Eagles vs. Andy Reid

My question is ... did him tipping it actually make it miss by less? Seems to me it would be quite unlikely for a tip to make the ball go left

Imagine being such a loser of a fan that you send death threats to Parkey.
Thank goodness social media wasn’t around for Scott Norwood.
That would have been x1000 worse.
I mean the Vikings kicker missed a chip shot FG to win a couple of years ago against the Seahawks and he didn’t get it that bad compared to Parkey.

Norwoods kick was from 47 yards ...that’s a significantly more difficult kick .. death threats set in at around 44 yards

Just getting a finger on the ball will change the trajectory, no?
