Goff surpassing Wentz deal is just going to make Dak say middle of the road QBs are getting top 5 money so he won’t sign for less.

These QB contracts are going insane.

Almost 82% of Goff’s contract includes guaranteed money as Well.
110 million guaranteed is just stupid.
He didn’t give them a discount. Either Jeff Fisher is that bad a coach or Goff is better than I thought.

That is completely wrong. He signed for 2019 QB money when the contract doesn't even kick in until 2021. That is a significant discount. Don't get blinded by the dollars. It'll already be knocked down to somewhere between the #8-12 QB deal on the books by the time it actually starts. How much have the QB contracts increased since 2017, 30-40%?

Other than Donald, all of the extensions the Rams gave out are insane. Good luck with the offensive line and the rest of the defense.

The only bad one is the Gurley one. Signing him to that 2 years early never made any sense. Goff contract is a good deal for the team. Done early at a number that will be fine by the time it starts and can plan around it going forward.

To be fair, I would guess (honestly don't know) that the offensive DVOA improved after acquiring Amari, so maybe they were at least above average with him on the team?

He is a top 10 QB of alltime IMO but he isn’t as good as that the national media love he gets.
