Meh sick of the Detroit could have done this or this to win. Refs NEED to be better in a multi billion dollar company. This is professional sports. There's no way they should be this bad. I'm thinking the mass retirements over the past 5-10 years have really affected officiating.

It’s one thing if the bad call was a judgment call like the missed PI.
What the heck was the umpire looking at the hands to the face penalty. They weren’t even close to the helmet they were the front of the jersey shoulder both times. Why the refs didn’t huddle up while watching the replay and pickup the flag is just pure laziness.

Bad calls happen but it just seemed like every call went against Detroit and for Green Bay.

stripes were bad but Lions hurt themselves too - 12 men on the field on the 4th and 5, etc

This morning’s angst over NFL officiating is misplaced...cries of incompetence, too many new rules (true), etc etc are missing the point that the NFL WANTS officiating to include enough subjectivity so they can achieve the Economics-based outcomes they want — the right teams with the right records on TV at the right times to appease their TV contract overlords and ensure Bob Kraft two home playoff games

Competition, player safety, etc is all subterfuge for the con game playing out live in front of us.

My suspicion is that the officials are not “full-time employees” so that they can be paid in various ways to ensure the NFL’s desired outcomes.

And the Packers had 13 and they didn't call it.
Not even 12. It was 13

and the hands to the face call was not as bad as everyone says.. they forget its also hands to the neck thats part of the rule and since the Dline was holding the oline by the neck jersey thats technically probably the right call as well as defensive holding..

Offensive player had more hands on flowers’ face than the other way around.

You are so firmly in the minority on this one it’s an odd hill to die on.

Best part was on the play they called Flowers for the second hands to the face penalty Snacks Harrison was getting the penalty done to him.

Shocking the refs giving rodgers a win. You can't make it up.
Flowers had never had an illegal hands to the face penalty in his career, yet gets two phantom calls against him in two huge third down situations. the first changed the result from a punt on fourth and forever into instead an eventual TD..the second turned a fg attempt into a TD.

im not kidding when I say someone HAS to at least ask the question...What was the deal with that officials situation? it SURE has the appearance he was to benefit from those calls.

you look at the bottom picture and do it in real time and you decide which one looks like the penalty.

and i didnt think it was a good call, but the oline clearly sold it and at speed its not that easy to see.. its not like the refs are really looking at 2 guys they have 10-12-14 guys to look at sometimes.

the same with hands to the face.. you can touch the face it cant be forceful and extended contact. the same for facemask penalties. a glancing touch of the mask can get ignored even if the fingers pull a small amount.

the ref who called it is behind the Lions DE. all he can see is a hand and the Packers head extended back for a long time.

You don't throw a flag on something you don't see. Easy.

They are incompetent putting it nicely or their on the take. It.gets worse by the game.

Trent Williams traded to Cleveland.
Cleveland isn’t giving up.
Wonder what they gave up.
Probably a first round pick.

Thank you LA.
Put Jalen Ramsey in the NFC and away from the AFC.

Ramsey will obviously help but LAR has issues on both sides of the line of scrimmage. Giving away two first rounders won't make addressing those issues any easier.
