Also he is worth it.

Should the NFL change it’s schedule for this season.

Should the interconference games be close matchups to save travel due to this pandemic?

If the stadiums aren’t going to have fans then changing the schedules shouldn’t be an issue.
Thought about it.

Even contemplated the scrapped baseball model of going totally regional...for example move the pokes out west and treat Miami as a south team, Baltimore in the East, Indy can play the Ohio’s and Pitt, etc...I had it all worked out on a home version of a cocktail napkin, then said fluck it...all he fake poke gen x and millennials fans would throw a hissy fit.

maybe I should’ve floated it, they’re trying to rewrite US histor, this rewriting of the NFLs future might’ve distracted them for a bit...

Mahomes agent did a great contract for him.

2 Super Bowls is the bar.

3?? KC wins.

2?? they fail.

1??...well, that makes him Brees or Rodgers...and

It is more or less a 4 year extension for $155m tacked on to his 2 for $27 that was left.

He gets less than money than Ryan Tannehill over the next 4 years because of the 2 years left on his deal.

However it’s a deal that allows him to likely get all 473 million which for an NFL contract is rare. He gets a roster bonus on the first day of the league calendar every year. If the Chiefs decline that roster bonus he becomes an unrestricted free agent.

It basically was him giving the Chiefs 3 years to build a dynasty before the contract becomes absurdly large but because he is so good the Chiefs aren’t going to decline his roster bonus option as he would go on the open market without them being able to franchise him.

In 2027 that roster bonus of 49 Million protects him the chiefs have to pay him a lot or at age 31 he will go on the open market and get paid again elsewhere.

You are somewhat right and wrong. The full yearly compensation up until 2025 guarantees on the 3rd league day 2 years in advance. His 2025 compensation is guaranteed in full at the start of 2023. He's not going anywhere prior to that so he's through year 6 of the 12 or 4 of the 10 at that point. 2026 is where the guarantees only start taking place 1 year in advance and become tricky. At that time, he'll have a 6 year, $294m deal left which probably won't even be that big of a deal by that point.

AB on Instagram has a Patriots jersey on.
If the Pats resign AB I will drink my own piss and Belichick will cement he has gigantic balls.

So they can block and tackle for 60 minutes but can't do this afterwards...
Other notable changes for 2020:
- Coaches and players won’t be required to wear masks on the sidelines. Everyone else in the bench does have to wear a mask.
- On-field fan seating is prohibited.
- Both teams must travel to the stadium via bus.
- Media will be banned from the locker room.

It looks weird but this shouldn't really be surprising. There's a difference between necessary physical contact (assuming one thinks that playing football at all is necessary) and unnecessary physical contact (swapping jerseys, shaking hands, etc.)

The NFL is trying to bring football back with as little exposure as possible. They can't get rid of the actual on-field tackling and what not but they can and should get rid of the post-game/off-field stuff as much as possible.

I still doubt we actually get a full season if there's a season at all, but it only makes sense to limit things like this.

Saw an article that the CDC is likely downgrading this to an epidemic, given the decline mortality rates.

I might be wrong and can ask my friend that works for the CDC to confirm, but my understanding was that pandemic vs epidemic isn’t about the lethality of the disease but rather the spread. So if it were downgraded from pandemic status it would be because the rest of the world has it under control but doesn’t say anything about its status in the US.

Not sure if this true but this would actually be a good change

sure doesnt seem like that much guaranteed money. what if he suffers a catastrophic injury? im sure he's getting insured on that but baseball players (refer to prince fielder) get every dime if that happens
