thats the part i dont get, the hc announcement. is that the red let go...seems late. or the new hc? if its new hc, its not someone in the ncaas. cant formally do anything.
There is no reason why the announcement shouldn't be the morning after the ACCT ouster. Just a couple line release like all these other schools have already done.
How does he save any face by 'resigning'?

Norlander reported that we’d have a new AD by 3/10. So as Bees said, announcement should be tomorrow or Tuesday.

New AD in place moments before Red “steps down” as Syracuse head coach versus language saying he’s fired.
The head coach can’t be the following Monday or Tuesday because Schertz and Hodgson will still be playing tourney games the week of March 16. I’d expect the new head coach is announced the week of March 23, unless their teams are still rolling. But I’m assuming we’ll all know who it is before then.
Make no mistake, he is being terminated. It’s PR. He’s not really stepping down.
