If its Bball coach, I guess they also dont need a press conference. They can just put a statement out while on the flight back or the following day.
Heck, they put a statement out regarding the JB transition while him and Autry were on the flight back, presser for this situation will be kind of unnecessary in my opinion.

It's all dumb. She asked the basketball spokesperson, so that person wouldn't say anything about an Athletic Director. They know their swim lanes.

And they're not going to say an announcement is planned about coaching because why would a spokesperson do that? You find out when they want you to find out.

I agree with others here that there will be no press conference to announce the parting of ways with Red. That’s tacky and unnecessary. Oh, no, I don't think that SU would announce a leadership change in men's hoops until the season is over. Wildhack has said that Red is finishing the season, and there's no benefit to announcing it today versus later this week. In terms of a new head coach, that becomes a little tricky, because if SU is going to hire a new head coach whose current team is in the NCAA Tournament, that becomes a delicate issue...
