Big fan of today's look. Looking at the Clemson game, I see blue helmets and pants with Orange jerseys.
And IMO, the recruits are loving all of this.

I love the helmets and uniforms. I would love to see just a shiny orange helmet with maybe the dome in a gray outline on it, or 44, something like that.

Had a friend who isn't an SU fan ask me if those were new helmets and they thought they were pretty cool.

But it is asinine to have a primarily blue theme, with virtually no visible orange. Inexusable.

The helmet itself isn't bad, even though we never should've changed from our old all orange helmet with the white and blue down the middle.

But if this is the new helmet, either the pants or the jerseys need to be orange. Blue pants, jerseys, AND helmets(mostly) just doesn't look right.

These are alternate uniforms. Not permanent. Everyone needs to get of the ledge Jesus.

Maybe the helmet should be Orange fading to blue. Not enough orange as is.

One of these weeks they will break that out. I am thinking in the coming weeks and years SU is gonna have like 20 different helmet and uniform combinations!

It beats Georgetown grey (puke) but barely. I'm (barely) OK with it as an alternate, but if this is our weekly jersey, I am going to flip. I want to orange helmet, blue shirt, and orange pants. That looks good. There's no ned to change. ND, Bama, Michigan, PSU, OSU... don't change with dumb trends. We need to stop.

*I am fully aware of ND's alternate jersey last year, but it was a one game thing, not a perm deal.

This is just Week 2 of the make over. If you think THIS is the new regular jerseys and helmets you are nuts. We play 10 games a year, which probably means in the near future 10 different uniform/helmet combinations each season. It's gonna be a mix and match for every game as this continues and moves forward

Everyone already knows we are the Syracuse Orange. You don't need Otto to bleed all over the uniforms to prove it. There's nothing wrong with doing some adventurous stuff with the uniforms. Today's look was cool. Helmets faded Orange to blue would rock.

I am old and usually traditional unless it has to do with the "great" 3 man 44 "tradition" that ended 40 years ago. That said I expected to hate the helmets but found them growing on me all day. My issue now are the schools that change weekly or have 7 uniform versions.

That said - they are 100% better than the use of gray on the basketball uniforms or the use of black by every other school. I suspect we will see a black Syracuse Orange uniform before long - then you can expect the real old man in me to come out.

We've had uniform changes regularly as national trends shift. Sport is a fashion showpiece and it's a lot of fun for the players. They like to be styling and looked good today, in their gear and on the field. I have no complaints.

I know, and I don't care. I guess I'd rather be in the Michigan, Ohio State, USC, Alabama, FSU, Texas tradition camp than the Oregon, Virginia Tech Johnny Come lately, gimmick crap.

There's one 2 page thread about it, and nobody is really all that mad about it other than maybe 1 guy. I think you're making too much of it.
