He doesn't have a chance in hell at beating Kubiak for that job, and I like Marrone.
He has a chance if they find out he is a saint. He doesn't have a chance in hell at beating Kubiak for that job, and I like Marrone.
or kubiak, who has the job.Nor will he beat out their OC, who is also interviewing.
It's not about "liking". He thought the GM was bad at his job. Turns out he was.How does Marrone explain to Elway why he left the Bills? He didn't like the GM? The media didn't praise him enough after win #8? Not sure anything he says is an acceptable answer.

"doug what was that plan"I think it's pretty simple really. All he has to say is that he was hired because of his plan to rebuild the team and they did not allow him to carry out that plan. Something along those lines worded the right way would probably be an acceptable answer. He really has to hope that Kubiak decides not to leave Baltimore though or he has no chance whatsoever. I think he'd have a chance (though likely slim) of beating out Gase for it if he sees eye to eye with Elway on how to move this team forwards.
Now you're just being argumentative. Even you have to know that if they ask Doug what his plan was he'd pull out the binder and show it to them. And then he'd show them what they did instead. And Elway might, just might agree with Doug. Elway understands the whole if I don't think I'm going to be happy there then I'm not going/staying. If he didn't he'd be one of the best 3 Colt QB's in history instead of the best Bronco QB in history."doug what was that plan"
"uhhhhhhhh"
Yep. Some people are saying Marrone was arrogant to leave Buffalo. You want to talk about arrogant? Imagine being the #1 pick in the NFL draft and tellign the team that drafted you that you'd rather play baseball for almost peanuts than play football for millions with them. That is arrogance. There'd be no middle ground.I actually think Marrone and Elway are simliar in their no BS mindsets and could potentially work well together... or not get along and be an absolute train wreck. I don't see a grey area.

Maybe they'll change the name from the Rooney rule to the Marrooney rule.
(see what I did?).
